Nyasa Big Bullets come from behind to beat Silver Strikers 2-1; Wizards FC massacred in Mzuzu

BLANTYRE (Maravi Post)—The Presidential cup Champions, Nyasa Big Bullets, came from behind to beat the central bankers, Silver Strikers 2-1 in the country’s top flight league, TNM Super League encounter, on Sunday before a capacity crowd at Kamuzu Stadium.The visiting Silver Strikers FC was first to score in the first half before the home team equalized in the second half through a penalty which was converted by striker Chiukepo Msowoya. Nyasa Big Bullets, which looked sluggish during the whole game, punished Silver Strikers through a well taken volley taken by substitute Diverson Mlozi from a rebound to make it 2-1.

Despite the loss, Silver Strikers remains on top of the league table.

Elsewhere, Wizards FC, had its nightmare in Mzuzu when after suffering a second consecutive defeat—2-0— in the hands of the Kaning’ina based soldiers, Moyale Barracks FC.

Wizards FC were also beaten 1-0 on Saturday by the fast maturing Mzuni FC. At Chitowe Stadium in Nkhotakota, the spoils were shared in a one all draw between rookies Dwagwa United FC and Karonga FC.

EPAC FC also had a goalless draw against Azam Tigers 0-0. On Saturday, Blue Eagles inflicted pain on Bullets’ archrival Mighty Wanderers as nomads, as the Be forward Wanderers is fondly called,  was defeated at its own backyard—Kamuzu Stadium.
