His Excellency President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, President of the Republic of Malawi, has appointed General Griffin Spoon Phiri as the National Security Advisor;
The Malawi leader, has also appointed Lieutenant General Vincent Nundwe as the Commander of the Malawi Defence Force and subsequently has been promoted to the rank of General.
According to the Office of the President and Cabinet (OPC), the appointments are with immediate effect.
