BREAKING NEWS: Malawian Comedian John Nyanga aka ‘IZEKI’ has died

News reaching the Maravi Post confirms that Malawian Comedian John ‘Izeki’ Nyanga died Sunday afternoon at Queen Elizabeth Central Hospital (QECH) in Blantyre.

Confirming the sad news, one of his counterparts in Kwathu Drama Group, Bon ‘Winiko’ Kalindo said Nyanga died at QECH where he had been admitted the last few weeks.

Nyanga who rose to fame performing with Kwathu Drama Group and as part of the duo ‘Izeki ndi Jacobo’ with his friend Eric Mabedi was one of the most talented comedians to grace the local landscape.

Nyanga had famously been declared dead on numerous occasions before only to come through healed.

Burial arrangements will be communicated later.
