The Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) officials yesterday took to task the Mulanje South Member of Parliament Bon Kalindo over his Thursday naked demonstration saying he is insane.
The party is believed to have organized the political rally in Kalindo’s district of Mulanje in order to disgrace him.
Speaking during the meeting, Ecklen Kudontoni who is the DPP Secretary General wondered why Kalindo who is also their member acted against his party’s stand.
“As DPP, we always follow what our President says and on this issue of albino abduction and killings, President Peter Muthalika has already put strong measures, therefore someone from the party to say something against this it means we are not together,” said Kudontoni.
“Without hiding, what honorable Kalindo did was totally insane and it was his mind not DPP,” he added.
Kalindo is quoted saying that “my demonstration is not against any political party, individuals, organizations or government but to protect the lives of people with albinism.”
However, the DPP regional governor for the south Charles Mchacha attacked Kalindo saying “he has lost direction.”
The DPP fans where chanting against Kalindo saying “apepese, apepese, apepese.”
In his remarks, Muthalika said he is satisfied with what his government is doing to end the evil malpractice of killing and abducting Albinos.
