LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s football governing body has revealed that,it will continue enhancing the coache’s education by embracing technology in analysing the game in so doing making the elite league more competitive which will result in having a hard to reckon with national team.
This has been said by the football association of Malawi (FAM) President Fleetwood Haiya on Tuesday 20th February 2024 during the official opening of a two-day High Performance Football Analysis Course for the coaches at Mpira Village, in the commercial City of Blantyre.
Haiya added that Super league coaches have a crucial role in transforming the game in the country.
National Football Coaches Association of Malawi has lauded FAM President for organising such pivotal course.
Their Chairperson Aubrey Nankhuni said the course will eventually improve the sport in the country hence asked for more courses even to regional leagues coaches.
The course is being attended by over 30 coaches and analysts drawn from all Super league teams and national teams,among the notable names are;
The Malawi National Football Team coach Patrick Mabedi,Mighty Tigers coach Leo Mpulula, FCB Nyasa Big Bullets assistant coach Heston Munthali, Meke Mwase assistant coach for Wanderers, Silver Strikers coach Peter Mponda and Milias Pofera Jegwe who has just been appointed by FAM as analyst.
