LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Defence Force (MDF) soldiers General Commander, Vincent Nundwe said MDF is ready to ensure sustained peace in forthcoming historical landmark Presidential ruling by Constitutional court.
Nundwe was speaking last night at Kamuzu Barracks officers mess end of year ball, in Lilongwe. Nundwe said MDF will ensure the ruling by the Concourt is respected and upheld to a party which will go in favour of. Whether opposition or government side.
When asked why MDF is being involved in Internal security instead of Malawi police, Nundwe justified saying MDF soldiers are involved in the Internal security because MPS is incapacitated.
“MPS Can not manage to control the current hence our intervention”, justifies Nundwe.
The Constitutional Court is expected to make its ruling within 47 days from December 20, 2019 on the disputed May 21 polls.
