Malawi central bank opens magnificent employees’ wellness centre in Lilongwe

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Reserve Bank of Malawi (RBM) on Saturday November 19, 2022 officially opened its magnificent Wellness Centre in Lilongwe.

The facility is worthy MK400 million which will be used for physical fitness and mental well being of the Malawi’s central bank’s employees.

RBM governor Wilson Banda said the facility is one of the objectives of ensuring efficiency in various departments of the central.

He added that the facility will help improve the health of the central bank’s employees hence a reduction in a number of diseases that come due to luck of physical fitness.

“As humans we need a sound body and a sound mind, we need to keep our bodies healthy if we are to be productive in our daily chores. That’s why we decided to invest in the wellness centre,” said Banda.

Banda then urged all RBM employees to make full use of the facility which he believes will transform their operations in line with key objectives.

Among others, the wellness centre has gym, basketball courts, netball courts, and squash court.
