Sad! After fifty years of self-rule Malawi continues to wallow in abject poverty, and still remains one of the poorest countries in the world where citizens survive on less than a dollar a day. This picture, taken from one of the districts in Malawi, shows a toilet that was built with funding from the European Union (EU). Seriously, should we even fail to build our own toilets at 50?
