Malawi Police in Neno have arrested a 38 year old man identified as Wallace Billiati of Mbemba village,Traditional Authority Symon in Neno, for allegedly murdering Emmanuel Robert, 23 years of the same Village.
This occurred recently at Mbemba trading centre.
According to a police report, the allegetion is that on the material day at around 22:45 hours the suspect and Emmanuel (deceased) were drinking beer and in the course a wrangle erupted which resulted them into fighting.
It is then alleged that the suspect took a stone and hit the deceased on the head who died on the spot.
Postmortem conducted at Mwanza District Hospital showed that death occurred due to serious head injury.
The suspect will appear before court soon to answer murder charges.
