BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Malawians on social media on Tuesday night ridicule the country’s soccer governing body, Football Association of Malawi (FAM) President Walter Nyamilandu for clinging to power after serving the same position in 14 years.
This follows Nyamilandu’s announcement that he is seeking the fourth term in office despite numerous calls that he has done his part, let others take charge of Malawi football.
Nyamilandu is shame to Malawi football.
At first he declared not to stand thereafter three names were proposed by him: Mwenda, Mtanthiko and Alide.
Eventually Mwenda made it and sell himself in the north. That’s why the north came out in support of his candidature.
Today, the same man who proposed three names is coming out in the open to contest.
Unfortunately, FAM’s affiliates are the sore decider for the body’s election whom most of them are easily corrupted.
