“We are ready to perform wonders this season as the giants have been excluded from the league and we hope to finish on good position,” said Wasi.

Lioness Youth coach, Bridget Phiri acknowledged the defeat to Dyna while attributing that, they are building the team.

“We are just building the team they are yet to play as a team hence they are yet to gain experience. We have that hope that our team will finish in top five”, Phiri echoed.

“We are excited as a committee, the teams are maintaining the discipline and fair play with a fascinating play. Week three teams have settled well than in week one and two. This year is difficult to predict the results in the league since we don’t have those giants who dominated.

“The league has really helped the development of the sport in the country as we have contributed more players in the AUSC region 5 youth games team with some featuring for Queens. We thank Mpico for their unwavering support”, he added.

Mpico group of companies started sponsoring the central region netball challenge in 2016.

This year the package has been increased from MK40 million last year to MK47 million.
