Malawi national team coach, Kalisto Pasuwa, has released a list of players to face Namibia and Tunisia in upcoming matches.

However, one notable omission is Binwell Katinji, who has been a regular feature in the team.

The squad, which includes a mix of experienced and young players, will face Namibia at the Bingu Stadium in Lilongwe, before traveling to Tunisia for another match.

Pasuwa has named a strong squad, with goalkeeper William Thole, defenders McDonald Lameck and Alick Lungu, and strikers Frank Mhango and Richard Mbulu all included.

However, the absence of Binwell Katinji has raised eyebrows, with many fans taking to social media to express their surprise at his omission.

The full squad is as follows:

  • George Chikooka
  • Richard Chimbamba

Defenders:

  • McDonald Lameck
  • Alick Lungu
  • Charles Petro
  • Nickson Mwase
  • Gomegzani Chirwa
  • Nickson Nyasulu

  • Precious Sambani

Midfielders:

  • Yankho Singo

  • Chikumbutso Salima
  • Wongani Lungu

Strikers:

Pasuwa will be hoping that his squad can deliver positive results against Namibia and Tunisia, as Malawi looks to improve its standing in international football.
