BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse administration is taking chances to have a deal with Zameer Karim and Ahmed Osman’s Teligenta worthy US$400,000.
The development comes barely months after the duo (Karim and Osman) opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) sympathizers were exposed in July 2020 for a multi billion kwacha contract scam at ESCOM for LED bulbs and at EGENCO for ABB electricals over pricing.
This publication has been reliably informed that the President Chakwera’s Tonse administration is still interested to do business with the DPP businessmen.
The Maravi Post understands that there is a contract at EGENCO dated this month of March for Teligenta for US$400,000 for electrical components.
Efforts from EGENCO and government spokesperson proved futile on several attempts.
