PRETORIA-(MaraviPost) -Prophet Shepherd Bushiri’s Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church has temporarily closed its services in South Africa.
This follows the Friday’s protest against the Prophet Bushiri over three women’s death in the church a week ago.
Bushiri’s Relations Manager Maynard Manyowa told SABC News exclusive that the protest affected the church’s services.
Manyowa says the church is aware of the protest saying the organization ready for dialogue over demonstrations’ motives.
The relation’s manager disclosed that the church is in the verge of putting structures for all the believed family.
Manyowa disclosed that Prophet Bushiri left for Malawi after the Friday incident for other church services and breather.
Before the Friday protest the South African Police Service on Monday opened a case of defeating the ends of justice against Shepherd Bushiri’s Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) church following the death of three congregants in a reported stampede
Police established that the deceased were certified died at the church premises and the incident was not reported to the police.
“The case of defeating the ends of justice is opened at the Pretoria West SAPS following the stampede which happened on the 28th of December, at Bushiri’s church, Enlightened Christian Church Gathering (ECG),” Pretoria police spokeswoman Captain Augustinah Selepe told African News Agency (ANA).
“The charge is laid, based on the fact that police have established that the deceased were certified died at the church premises, the incident was not reported to the police, and the bodies were removed and taken to private mortuary – Red Ford Mortuary.”
This prompted Pretoria residents protesting against the church while saliva for Bushiri’s blood that he be removed out of that rainbow nation.
