Prophet TB Joshua’s disciple, Wiseman Harry arrested in Greece

ATHENS-(MaraviPost)-Wiseman Harry, a follower of the late Prophet Temitope Balogun Joshua, also known as Prophet TB Joshua of the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN), and Mr. Dimitris Panapakidis, one of his friends, have both been detained in Greece.

SCOAN disciples arrested in Greece

GRASSROOT REPORTERS discovered that the Man of God was taken into custody by Thessaloniki police on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at around 3pm.

According to a source, he was detained soon after a crusade at Thessaloniki’s central Aristotelous Square.

He was said to have run a church without obtaining the necessary license from the relevant authorities.

The Facebook page of the Church posted a confirmation of his detention

This comes as a year has gone after on June 5, 2021, the world was in great shock as the great and charming servant of God, founder and general overseer of SCOAN, and Emmanuel TV, Prophet TB Joshua, responded God’s call to glory.

In fact, the passing of the man of God has created a void that is difficult for any gospel minister in this day to fill.

The Prophet had a large global following that transcended ethnic and geographic boundaries.

He served as the head of the SCOAN Ministry for more than three decades and received a great deal of acclaim on a global scale for his unrivaled humanitarian efforts, amazing miracles, and strong prophetic talent.

SCOAN’s Global members reject Prophet TB Joshua’s wife Evelyn as church leader

LAGOS-(MaraviPost)-Recently, some members reportedly rejected the appointment of his wife, Evelyn Joshua, as the new leader. They claimed the late founder wanted his successor to be from among other pastors he had anointed.

Three months after the death of prophet TB Joshua, the founder of Synagogue Church of all Nations, his congregants are fighting one battle after another.

They alleged the rule had been swept aside by a few members, whom they claimed were building stumbling blocks against the progress of the church.

Earlier this month, the church board of trustees officially appointed Evelyn as the new leader of the Lagos-based church.

Taking to Facebook, the church said their activities would be conducted under the guidance of God and Evelyn’s leadership. It further urged members and followers to pray for her as she took on her new role.

However, church members under a group, identified as Global Congress of Synagogue Members, also released a statement saying they were worried about the emergence of Evelyn, who made a unilateral declaration of herself as the new leader of the church.

The group further said Evelyn had claimed a congregation of 2 000 church members appointed her. “This is ridiculous. Where did the meeting hold? Was it through a yes vote? Was it through the election? Was it through ‘anointing’ by the 2 000 members?”

The group also claimed that the late founder never anointed his wife to succeed him, even going as far as accusing her of planning to commercialize every activity in the church for money.

According to Nigeria media outlet The Punch, members and partners of the church, as well as Emmanuel TV, said some people were planning to destroy it after the demise of the founder.

The publication reported that members and partners of the church and Emmanuel TV in Akure, Ondo State, distanced themselves from the group.

“The acclaimed global congress group and its so-called members are not known to us in Akure. None of us, genuine members and partners, has ever come across this acclaimed group called GCSM and its members in several church programs and activities conducted in Akure or Lagos church auditorium in the past 20 years,” it reported.

The church remains closed since June 2021.

OPINION: Why Such Noise Over TB Joshua’s Prayer Mountain Visit?

amiable Pastor of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), TB Joshua

Written by Tawia Acheampong

I was mildly surprised this morning to read a barrage of vitriolic tweets aimed towards none other than the amiable Pastor of The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), TB Joshua. I use the term ‘mildly’ because I know he’s a controversial character whose actions usually tend to provoke strong reactions from both scales of the religious spectrum. However, the subject for this particular session of ‘online dragging’ by sharp-tongued critics was difficult to muster. Pictures and video had surfaced of the prominent cleric during a four-day prayer session at an “undisclosed prayer mountain”, in which he offered supplications regarding the world crisis, leaders, doctors, pastors and the coronavirus pandemic.

TB Joshua on Four-Day Visit to “PRAYER MOUNTAIN” Over COVID-19

What baffles me is how the vicious scrutiny these ‘records’ received were so utterly disproportionate to their contents and the constructive message they conveyed. The main grouse of the ‘keyboard warriors’ was the fact that a cameraman followed the cleric for his prayers and such records were subsequently presented to the public. But such argument is an almost audacious display of ignorance. It’s pertinent to point out that TB Joshua is the founder of a massive media organisation called Emmanuel TV, which commands considerable worldwide viewership.

As an Emmanuel TV viewer myself, I can attest that one of Joshua’s regular programs is a session called ‘prayer for viewers’ in which he offers a variety of prayers for his listeners, the efficacy of which is seen in the multitudinous testimonies that follow. Why then should the fact that the cleric prayed publicly for his viewers – as is his customary practice – elicit such a strange backlash? It is entirely reasonable for a ‘man of people’ of TB Joshua’s stature to inform his viewers regarding his movements and offer reassuring prayers at such a time of uncertainty and fear.

Let me equally point out that ‘the man in the Synagogue’ has an almost giddy reputation for maintaining impeccable records of his life and ministry. The documentary of his life is itself an eye-opener. When the young cleric in several open-air huts surrounded by mostly children declared the beginning of his church in 1989 – a time when his name registered zero recognition – a camera was there to record The SCOAN’s birth. What prompted such a gallant conviction if not a vision of Divine origins?

The records faithfully written in the Bible serve as the basis and inspiration for the faith of millions of believers. The technological advancements of the 21st century have simply enabled an ‘upgrade’ in the manner in which records are kept – a secret TB Joshua has clearly unlocked and championed. Pushing religious inclinations aside, all lovers of technology would agree that the quality of Emmanuel TV’s broadcasting trumps every other local channel in Nigeria. Joshua has tapped into the extraordinary potential of media and social media to reach people with his message and mission. Instead of asking why the cleric would engage in such a broadcast, the question should rather be why wouldn’t he record the prayer for his 1.7million YouTube subscribers and 4 million Facebook followers?

Another set of moaners on this trending topic arbitrarily quoted the Scripture in Matthew 6 that calls on believers to pray in a secret place rather than the Pharisees who prayed “to be seen by others”. This argument also falls flat under minimal scrutiny. TB Joshua was at ‘the mountain for four days – at least 96 hours – and Emmanuel TV viewers will know he has visited such hallowed grounds for pilgrimage on numerous occasions without any attendant ‘noise’. So, why would anyone use a 15-minute clip to draw sweeping conclusions on the actions and motives of a man who sacrificed fleshly comforts in the wilderness for the purpose of prayer at a time of global crisis? Surely all citizens, regardless of their religious affiliations, desire the end to this pandemic and its associated repercussions and thus agree with the premise of his prayers?

Finally, I dare any diligent believer to watch TB Joshua’s sermons and deny that the man is not thoroughly grounded in God’s Word with remarkable spiritual maturity! The substance of TB Joshua’s teachings clearly flows from a heart deeply engaged with God. Simply put, TB Joshua is a man of prayer; what we saw in the viral photographs was the public overflow of private commitment – recorded and shown for the glory of God and shame of the devil. Anyone who argues otherwise is simply exposing their blind and bigoted hatred for a man who I’m sure has done no harm to them, a man who has actually improved Nigeria’s dishevelled image on a global scale, a man who is known not to be a money-mongering minister but a champion of charity. Such a man should be cherished, not chastised. I drop my pen here.

The Danger in Collecting Offerings – TB JOSHUA

TB Joshua

Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua has sensationally declared that “most offerings collected in churches all over the world are a curse, not a blessing.”

Joshua, who was speaking to a packed congregation at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) was responding to a question raised about why offerings are not collected during his weekly Monday ‘Living Water Service’.

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KUX75Z_S8tE

“We cannot begin bothering distressed people – I mean, the sick ones, the poor ones – asking for financial support,” the cleric explained.

Adding that although it was Scriptural to collect an offering, “The question remains: Whom are we asking for support? The distressed, the sick, the poor?”

Enlightening congregants further, he stated, “When you are healed and delivered, your ‘Thank you’ is a blessing from God. But when you are distressed, your ‘Thank you’ is distress. When you are sick, your ‘Thank you’ is sick.”

Joshua then declared: “You are your ‘Thank you’ because you cannot live above your word. That is why most gifts today are a curse, not a blessing… That is why you have to be very careful.”

Sharing practical examples from daily life, the cleric explained how judging by mere appearance is misleading as people are often pretentious.

“I know people beyond appearance because I look at the heart,” he revealed. “Appearance is deceptive.”

The video of Joshua’s short sermon on YouTube elicited a deluge of responses from followers, many declaring it was the “first time” they had heard a pastor explain such subject matter.

SCOAN Building Collapse ‘Had Nothing To Do With Structural Defects’ – Engineering Expert

TB Joshua
Pastor TB Joshua of Nigeria with his picture over the Collapsed Building

At the ongoing court case regarding the tragic building incident at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos, Nigeria on September 12th 2014, Professor Patrick Nwankwo has confirmed the ill-fated guesthouse was compliant with international standards.

Professor Nwankwo, an international professor of building and structural engineering, gave evidence on Thursday 7th and Friday 8th November 2019 at the Lagos State High Court in Igbosere, his conclusions reported in several Nigerian newspapers.

While being led-in-evidence by the defence counsel, Olalekan Ojo (SAN), Nwankwo told the court that he visited the site, took measurements and carried out thorough investigations before concluding that that the collapse “had nothing to do with structural defects”.

Professor Nwankwo said a building with structural defects would fall partially or sink on one side, adding that warning signals such as cracks would be observed by occupants.

“It is not possible for it to collapse like a park of cards as seen in the case of Synagogue”, he insisted, referring to the manner in which the building imploded in a matter of seconds, as captured by the church’s CCTV.

Explaining his modus operandi, Professor Nwankwo said he carried out structural analysis using Orion Design Software modelling on the beams, columns, foundation, anchorage, expansion joints, rigid zones and mechanism vis-a-vis the internationally accepted Codes of practice for engineering to arrive at his conclusions.

Nwankwo tendered the report on his findings, accompanied by several volumes of ‘British Standard building codes of practice’ to support his assertions, as exhibits to the court.

Dr Jide Martin, the Director of Public Prosecution, raised no objection against the documents after examining them.

Professor Patrick’s conclusions mirror that of Dr Stephen Asheri Ntoga, a trained civil, structural and material engineer from Tanzania who equally examined the guesthouse within TB Joshua’s church complex and concluded structural or foundational failure could not have been responsible for its tragic collapse.

The Lagos State Government is suing The SCOAN over the collapsed building that led to the death of 116 people, including 85 South Africans.

THROWBACK: Emmanuel TV Releases ‘Confession’ Of Man Who Arrested TB Joshua For Drug Trafficking!

Nigerian cleric TB Joshua has released a 20-year-old clip showing the ‘confession’ of a man who claimed to be one of the officers who arrested him in 1996 on the accusation of drug dealing.

Yusuf Hassan, who hails from Adamawa State, said he worked with the National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) when an informant tipped them off that Joshua was dealing drugs within his church premises.

Storming The Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN) in Lagos with 18 ‘armed’ officers and six soldiers, Yusuf recounted how the cleric was arrested and subsequently incarcerated for 13 days.

“On our way to the office, we asked him that – if he was a man of God, let him disappear,” Hassan reminisced, describing how the operatives all taunted the cleric en route to prison.

“Our officers destroyed a lot of things while searching for drugs – but we couldn’t find anything. On the thirteenth day he was released because nothing incriminating was found on him or with him,” Yusuf continued.

However, after Joshua’s innocence was established, Hassan revealed that calamity befell all involved in the operation.

“Among the officers that came to arrest TB Joshua, three of them are no longer alive. All 18 officers, except for myself, have been dismissed,” he revealed.

Yusuf himself said he was ‘on suspension’after a court-case landed him in prison for ten months.

“I want God to deliver me from the participation I took in this arrest,” he concluded.

Joshua, looking youthful, is also seen in the clip thanking congregants for their support after his release from imprisonment. “When you count the blessings of God in your life, doubts will fly away,” he can be heard saying.

TB Joshua is not new to controversy. He has been the subject of several accusations, most recently from an ex-worker at The SCOAN named Bisola Johnson who claimed she was ‘raped’.

Johnson, however, confessed to mental instability in a previous video and was found to have defrauded a US businessman, casting aspersions over her credibility.

“Nothing makes you better than your enemies when you respond to them. Leave the battle for God,” Joshua advised in a post on Facebook, whilst sharing the throwback clip.

TB JOSHUA SHARES SOMBRE MESSAGE ON 5th ANNIVERSARY OF SCOAN BUILDING COLLAPSE

Exactly five years after the tragic collapse of a guesthouse at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN), Pastor T.B. Joshua has honoured the ‘blessed memory’ of those who died in the incident with a thought-provoking message.

On September 12th2014, 115 people lost their lives in the horrific building collapse, 84 of them South African nationals visiting The SCOAN for religious reasons.

“A Christian does not consider death to be his end but the end of his trouble,”the cleric eulogised in a special broadcast on Emmanuel TV in commemoration of the anniversary.

Joshua stressed the inevitability of death, adding that a person’s age or the nature of their demise were not the critical issue. “What matters is the grace to continue living hereafter,”he said.

Waxing philosophical, Joshua asked viewers to be introspective as they remember the dark day.

“How are you spending your life,” he reflectively asked. “Because the greatest way to use life is to spend it on something that will outlive it – for instance, to love someone more dearly every day.”

Joshua called on his followers to proactively engage in helping others, stressing that “when you look around you”, you would assuredly find those “in need of your love, help, strength and time.”

He concluded with a sober reminder: “Live each day as if it were your last. Someday, you will be right.”

Despite the passing of five years, the controversy surrounding the cause of the deadly collapse remains, further induced by the attendant court case stuck in a seemingly endless legal quagmire.

The SCOAN still insists the church was ‘attacked’, pointing to a military plane which encircled the ill-fated building several times before its implosion.

The incident, however, has done little to quell the flow of foreign pilgrims to Joshua’s church with numbers from the Nigerian immigration service estimating six in every ten tourists to Nigeria are bound for The SCOAN.

T.B. Joshua complains: When I say little thing, you twist it

TB JOSHUA SENDS MILLIONS OF CONGREGANTS
TO THEIR NEIGHBOURS IN THE UK

Prophet T.B. Joshua says he has not been making prophecies about the things happening around the world because people twist his prophecies.

Prophet T.B. Joshua revealed that he resorted to silence despite seeing the things way before they happen.

“Many things that happened around the world, I saw it. But I when I tell it to you, you twist it” claims in a clip that has been shared by Emannuel TV, the official channel of Prophet T.B. Joshua and his Synagogue, Church of All Nations (SCOAN).

The Nigeria televangelist says he has reversed his decision to remain silent because the world can not stay in the dark forever.

“The World can not be in the dark. This is one of the reasons why I am here today” he says shortly before issuing out a prophecy that Nigeria’s President Muhammadu Buhari requires prayers to see through his term.

Buhari has been facing stiff opposition ever since his reelection in February this year. His legitimacy is being challenged by Nigeria’s main opposition leader, Atiku Abubaka.

How to Celebrate my Birthday on June 12th – TB JOSHUA

Submitted By: Ihechukwu Njoku

Nigerian Prophet T.B. Joshua turns 56 on Wednesday June 12th 2019 – but the respected cleric has an unusual message for those who wish to celebrate the occasion.

“If you really love your pastor, you should dedicate June 12th to take your time to meet the sick ones, to have friends who have been bedridden for many years,” Joshua told the teeming multi-national congregants at The Synagogue, Church Of All Nations (SCOAN).

“Many of them have been abandoned for years,” he extolled his listeners in a sermon subsequently uploaded to YouTube. “Be their family. Give them your number and have theirs… Introduce your children to this good habit. That is a divine legacy – so that they can continue when you are no longer living.”

“There is no gathering; there is no coming together to cut a cake,” he emphasised.  “On June 12th, rededicate yourself to the acts of giving. The giving we are talking about should not be selective. When you are doing that, your destiny will be reshaped.”

Joshua then spoke on the paramount virtues of love. “The love you give away is the only love you keep,”he counselled. “You are a human being not because you have ability to think but because you have ability to love.”

The cleric’s assertion regarding his birthday comes on the heels of his refusal to collect an offering at an event in UK attended by over 15,000 people, rather insisting that attendees give the offering to their “neighbours in need”.

Joshua was born 56 years ago in a humble, poverty-stricken home in Arigidi-Akoko in Ondo State, Nigeria but has risen to be counted as one of Africa’s most influential individuals and his church the foremost destination for religious tourism in West Africa.
