Among the historic scandals that have emerged in the Miss Universe pageant, the 2025 edition already seems unmatched. Now, Thai executive Nawat Itsaragrisil, director of Miss Universe Thailand, has taken center stage once again: he has filed a lawsuit against Mexican contestant Fátima Bosch Fernández, the pageant’s winner, for alleged defamation.
“We wish to reaffirm that Mr. Nawat Itsaragrisil never called Ms. Fátima Bosch a ‘brainless’ person. What he said was ‘damage,’ which can be clearly heard in the voice recordings that have been widely circulated across various platforms,” reads the translated legal document, published on the official Miss Universe Thailand Facebook page.
The statement also alleges that Bosch, 25, left the room and “immediately made a false accusation to the media,” claiming the opposite, and at no point did she choose to apologize but rather continued to falsely accuse him. Apparently for her own benefit and to justify herself during the competition,” it claims.
Finally, the document warns that they “will take appropriate legal action, to the fullest extent of the law,” if Bosch continues making “defamatory statements.” It even states that they would consider legal action against media outlets for “cooperating and being complicit.”

“Harmful” or “Brainless”? What Happened Between Fátima Bosch and Nawat Itsaragrisil
On November 4 (local time), during the sashing ceremony, the Thai executive and the Mexican model had a heated exchange that ended with Fátima Bosch walking out of the room. She was even accompanied by other contestants who witnessed the controversial moment.
Nawat Itsaragrisil allegedly criticized her for not posting about the host country, Thailand, on social media. Although she explained that it was a misunderstanding, the businessman allegedly made the comment that sparked the controversy: “If you follow your national director’s orders, you’re brainless.” However, the new statement now clarifies that the word used was actually “harmful.”
After leaving the room, Miss Mexico addressed the media and said: “What your director did is disrespectful. He called me brainless because he has issues with the organization, and I don’t think that’s fair.”
Bosch also emphasized that she was standing up for the women in the pageant: “I believe the world needs to see this, because we are empowered women and this is a platform for our voice. No one can silence our voice, no one will do that to me,” she declared.
Raúl Rocha, CEO of the Miss Universe Organization (MUO), Stands By Fátima Bosch
Following the incident, Nawat, 60, was not only removed from the pageant but also faced legal consequences. At the time, the lawsuit was confirmed by Mexican businessman Raúl Rocha Cantú, coowner and president of the MUO, in statements to the press.
Despite Nawat’s tearful apology, top executives felt it wasn’t enough.
“I have tasked our CEO, Mario Búcaro, to hold meetings in Thailand and maintain contact with local attorneys regarding the legal actions to be taken,” Rocha told the YouTube channel Tony Star TV.
In the end, Fátima Bosch won Miss Universe, but the shadow of that altercation still lingers, along with multiple controversies alleging the crown was fixed to favor business dealings between her father and businessman Raúl Rocha. The model insists that “everything is a lie” and remains firm: “I won.”
Big Brother’s favorite live feed updater Taran Armstrong is stressing the importance of having the 24-hour footage for the show.
“Big Brother was born in controversy that has only ever continued to evolve with the show over time. From racist remarks and behaviors to threats of violence, expulsions, attempts at censorship and more,” Armstrong wrote in his new book, Behind the Mirror, which hit bookstands on Tuesday, November 25. “The live feeds have at least functioned as a safeguard against the worst the genre has to offer.”
Over the years, Armstrong has become a popular figure in the Big Brother fanbase as he provides daily updates about what’s going on in the house as a member of the “Rob Has a Podcast” (RHAP) team. (“RHAP” was created by Survivor alum Rob Cesternino and is a popular reality TV podcast that covers countless shows including Survivor, Big Brother, The Traitors and more.)
Armstrong added that while the Big Brother live feeds are a protective agent for the players and viewers, “there’s still plenty of room for improvement” as the show has continued to run for nearly three decades.
Fans of Big Brother know all too well that there have been countless controversies surrounding the show over the years. In Behind the Mirror, Armstrong recalls the history of Big Brother, starting with the show’s early beginnings as an adaptation of the original Netherlands program before becoming the Americanized version fans know today. Armstrong also revisits the show’s countless controversial moments, from ones that fans will recognize from certain episodes to others that never made the final cut.
“There’s so much learning that you can do through the show. And one of the things that you can learn is the ways that other reality shows might be lying to you that you don’t even realize,” Armstrong exclusively told Us Weekly about why the live feeds make Big Brother special while discussing his book. “Because if you at least know the events of the feeds, you don’t need to watch them yourself. This is the main thing that a lot of people feel like, ‘Well, I’m not interested in the live feeds at all, because that’s way too much, or it might be boring.’ Most people are not watching the feeds. 24/7, most people are consuming the live feeds through social media or podcasts like mine, where they’re getting an update, sort of day to day, almost like you would a sports league.”

Armstrong also talked about how the game has evolved thanks to iconic players like Dr. Will Kirby, Dan Gheesling, Taylor Hale and more.
While Armstrong is aware that not all reality TV lovers will be intrigued by his coverage of the history of Big Brother, he hopes that “people will find something valuable” in what he wrote.
“[I’m] trying to find a place of acceptance that it will not be for everyone. Some people will come to it, looking for something that’s not there, especially because it’s about reality TV,” Armstrong said of what he hopes Big Brother fans will take away from his debut book. “If you come to this book looking for juicy secrets and details or whatever, or gossip, you know that’s not really what the book was intended to be. So I hope that the people that are able to get something out of it.”
Armstrong started writing Behind the Mirror after season 24 ended in September 2022. The podcaster spent a lot of time researching the history behind the show while also speaking to other players about their experiences in the game, including Tiffany Mitchell, winner Steve Moses and more. While Armstrong is used to covering Big Brother in real-time, going back to the archives was an interesting experience.
“When a season is live, it’s very up and down, you know? And the way that I cover a season live, as I mentioned, I’m live every day, and so every day, I’m telling a story of what happened the previous day, while also telling the story,” he told Us. “Up until this point, I’m every day sort of reevaluating what is the story of the season and when you’re when you’re looking back, especially when you’re looking back at a huge swath of history, it’s a lot easier to see the through line for the stories that can be told about it, or at least the ones that that I that I cared about and really loved.”
Behind the Mirror is available now and the audiobook is narrated by Armstrong.
Vice TV’s new docuseries, Out of Bounds, will reportedly focus on Bill Belichickand Jordon Hudson in its premiere episode.
According to an article published by The Hollywood Reporteron Thursday, November 20, the controversial couple will be the subject of the first episode of the docoseries, which examines sports controversies.
The outlet reported that Pro Bowl wide receiver Antonio Brown will be the subject of another episode, while sports gambling will be examined in another upcoming instalment. Out of Bounds is set to premiere on December 16.
“At Vice TV, our sports programming caters to fans who want more than highlights — they want the stories behind the headlines,” Vice TV president Peter Gaffney said in a statement, per The Hollywood Reporter. “Out of Bounds delivers that with fearless storytelling and a cultural lens that only Vice can bring. We’re proud to partner with Vice Studios to give our viewers a front row seat inside some of the most fascinating sports stories of our time.”
Hulu and producer EverWonder Studios had planned to create a docuseries about Belichick and his job as Tar Heels head coach, according to Front Office Sports.
Prior to the Hulu agreement falling through, another project reportedly involving Belichick also did not come to fruition.

HBO and the University of North Carolina were reportedly in agreement to feature the Tar Heels’ football team in a season of Hard Knocks.
However, the plans fell apart at the eleventh hour, allegedly in part due to the involvement of Hudson.
Belichick and Hudson’s age-gap relationship has been the butt of many jokes over the years, including on The Greatest Roast of All Time: Tom Brady in May 2024.
“Coach, you used to talk about Foxborough High School when we sucked,” former Patriot Rob Gronkowski joked during the roast. “But now I know why you were so obsessed with Foxborough High School: you were scouting your new girlfriend!”
Brady also poked fun at Belichick and Hudson during the TV roast, referencing Ring camera footage that leaked and made headlines several months earlier. In the security footage Belichick was seen exiting Hudson’s home.
“When somebody asked me which ring was my favorite, I used to say, ‘The next one,’” Brady quipped. “Now that I’m retired, my favorite is that Ring camera that caught Coach Belichick slinking out of that poor girl’s house at 6 a.m. a few months ago.”
Later that year, the couple made their red carpet debut at the American Museum of Natural History’s 2024 Museum Gala in New York, which was held in December.
“The evening was saturated with all of my favourite things: friendship, education, philanthropy, glamour, beet salad, Billy, dance-worthy music, ornithological & oceanic exhibits,” Hudson shared via Instagram at the time. “We created so many great memories together while supporting a great cause; my heart is filled to the brim!!!”
Hilaria Baldwin says that she and her husband, Alec Baldwin, see a therapist when their 26-year age gap creates marital disconnect.
“I don’t believe that age is just a number, at least in our situation,” Hilaria, 41, revealed on the Wednesday, November 12, episode of the “Uncut and Uncensored” podcast.
She continued, “There are certain things where I have to look at him and say, ‘He has 26 more years of experience.’ And sometimes that’s a flex, and sometimes that means that we need to do a little therapy.”
Us Weekly has reached out to Alec’s rep for comment.
Alec, 67, began dating Hilaria, a yoga instructor, in 2011 and married her the following year. They have since welcomed seven children — Carmen, 12, Rafael, 10, Leonardo, 8, Romeo, 7, Eduardo, 5, Maria, 4 and Ilaria, 3. Hilaria is also stepmom to Alec’s daughter Ireland, 30, from his marriage to Kim Basinger.
“He had the very notorious, complicated situation with his previous wife and with Ireland,” she told podcaster Caroline Stanbury. “I think he wanted a chance to do it in a different way and make different choices.”
Hilaria said that she and the 30 Rock alum have “hard moments” in their marriage, but try to work through it.
“Do we have our normal, marital arguments? 100 percent,” she said. “But it’s the desire to both want to be there and to both want to make it work. When you have that, I think you can go through anything together.”
Hilaria admitted that she’s felt lost as the wife of a celebrity with a larger-than-life persona.
“I think in many ways, I did lose part of my identity when I married Alec,” she said, discussing the impact of “other people talking about me for the first time on a very massive level.”
Hilaria said she received a solid piece of advice about navigating the spotlight in a day and age when everyone and anyone’s opinions can be amplified on social media.
“I posted this on my [Instagram] Stories, this woman said, ‘You need to be able to really articulate and know what your identity is, because otherwise you’re going to just get it from other people because everybody’s going to have an opinion,’” she said. “And this is not a famous person who’s saying this. We’re all the same, regardless if we’re famous, not famous, whatever. We’re all flesh and blood.”
Hilaria, who recently appeared as a contestant on season 34 of ABC’s Dancing With the Stars, said she’s come to terms with fame and how to handle it.
“I haven’t been as clear as I should have been with myself about my identity,” she said, adding, “People can say this or that. I cannot stop them. But I can know myself in a way that hopefully it won’t give me that nauseous pit in my stomach that I’ve experienced so many times.”
That’s not to say that Hilaria is immune to the effects of online trolls. After getting eliminated from Dancing With the Stars last month, she blamed her dismissal on “mean girls” campaigning against her.
“I guess what people were doing is they were having campaigns where they wouldn’t just vote for their favorite — because you can vote 10 times for a couple — they were voting for all the other couples except us, so they were boosting everybody else and trying to drown out my fan base,” Hilaria exclusively told Us Weekly in October, referencing her professional dance partner, Gleb Savchenko.
Previously, she had spoken out via Instagram Live, telling her followers that it was “coordinated, very strategic bullying. And as I feel the darkness that undoubtedly brings to me, I always want to remember that my life belongs to the whole community and I want to leave a lasting mark of courage to speak up against what is simply wrong.”
Earlier this month, Hilaria clarified her remarks while appearing on the “Too Much” podcast, making it clear that her time on the show was a positive experience and that she never felt bullied by her castmates. In fact, she said, fans who participated in the alleged campaign against her have reached out to apologize via direct message.
“Everybody on the show is lovely,” she said in the podcast’s November 3 episode, adding that she doesn’t need people to “feel bad” for her.
“I had the time of my life,” she recalled. “I’m only a better, happier person because I did the show.”
Bergeron, 70, served as a guest judge during the Tuesday, November 11, episode of the ABC reality competition series, joining Carrie Ann Inaba, Bruno Tonioli and Derek Hough at the judges table to score the remaining couples’ dances.
Current host Alfonso Ribeiro kicked off the night by asking his dear friend Bergeron to introduce the show.
“I’d love too,” he said, shortly before new cohost Julianne Hough started tearing up when they all walked down the ballroom steps. The veteran host added, “I am thrilled to be here, it’s such a rush. So great to see you all, and we have a number of familiar faces in the audiences.”
Before taking a seat at the judge’s table, Bergeron revealed just what he was looking for from the remaining competitors.
“You’e a week away from the semifinals, so I’m looking for the type of dance that induces goosebumps,” he said. “But since I’m sitting next to Bruno, I’m also trying to avoid a concussion.”
Tonioli, for his part, showed off his signature hand gestures.
The 20th anniversary episode of Dancing With the Stars also included first round dances set to music from iconic freestyles throughout the show’s run and, for the first time ever, competitive dances by the celebrity contestants without their pro partners for bonus points.
Disney/Eric McCandless
As for Bergeron, he hosted Dancing With the Stars for its first 28 seasons. Over the years, he was joined by cohosts Lisa Canning in season 1, Samantha Harris for seasons 2 through 9, Brooke Burke for seasons 10 through 17 and Erin Andrews for seasons 18 through 28.
After serving as the main host since the June 2005 premiere, Bergeron and his then-cohost, Andrews, now 47, were axed in July 2020. Tyra Banks replaced the pair as the host of season 29, while current hosts Alfonso Ribeiro and Julianne Hough took over in season 32.
“I think it’s all about evolution. I think any show like this that has been on many, many seasons needs to continue to evolve,” executive producer Andrew Llinares told reporters in September 2020 of the decision to part ways with Bergeron and Andrews. “I think changing the host was all about evolution, it was about making the show feel fresh, making it feel new [and] kind of make it reach out — maybe to a new audience as well, as well as the audience that’s been there for years.”
Bergeron’s exit came after he publicly criticized Dancing With the Stars for casting former White House press secretary Sean Spicer for season 28. He later confirmed the mounting tensions behind the scenes of the show factored into his departure.
“In all candor, the show that I left was not the show that I loved,” he said during an October 2021 episode of the “Bob Saget’s Here for You” podcast. “So, the end of the season that turned out to be my last season [in 2019], I kind of knew. So I took everything out of my dressing room that I really wanted. … It was kind of obvious that we were kind of butting heads.”
“I look at the math and 95 percent of my experience was really quite wonderful,” he noted during an October 2023 episode of Cheryl Burke’s “Sex, Lies and Spray Tans” podcast.
Bergeron is not the only familiar face to return to Dancing With the Stars during its milestone 20th year. Burke, 41, stopped by Halloween Night on October 28 to serve as a guest judge after concluding her lengthy tenure as a pro in 2022.
“It’s so special to go back home, I guess, to a place where I have spent most of my life in that ballroom,” Burke exclusively told Us Weekly on October 23.
Burke also reflected on her “heartbreaking” exit, describing it as “the hardest decision of my life.”
“I mean, I’ve spent most of my life on that show, so I think the umbilical cord is still attached,” she explained. “Like, I love the show, and I have so many great memories, and it’s changed my life. It helped me find my voice in general, like, when I look back at my audition, it’s just insanity. I would say that I am the woman I am today because of the show, and I am grateful to just even be asked back and to also bring another perspective.”
During the Tuesday, November 4, episode of ABC’s competition show, the founding member of Public Enemy kept viewers on their toes while serving as a guest judge alongside Carrie Ann Inaba, Derek Hough and Bruno Tonioli.
“Tonight, I’m hoping to see graceness, smoothness, you know what I’m saying? Preciseness,” he explained to cohost Alfonso Ribeiro while celebrating Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Night. “Not only that, but I’m looking forward to seeing your boy Flavor Flav, a guest judge on Dancing With the Stars.”
After Dylan Efron and Daniella Karagach kicked off the show, Flav, 66, surprised the judges when he quickly gave the duo a 10.
Throughout the night, however, the former Flavor of Love star kept fans guessing with what score he would deliver. After all, he was the only judge not to give Alix Earle and Val Chmerkovskiy a 10.
Before the the rockin’ good night came to an end, the cast was divided into two teams, Team Kool and Team Chicago. Team Chicago, led by Ribeiro, scored 40 out of 40 while Team Kool, led by Julianne Hough, scored 38 out of 40. The results were added to each contestant’s total scores of the night.
In the final minutes, Ribeiro, 54, and Julianne, 37, announced the results of which pairing would be leaving the competition before the show celebrates its 20th birthday party episode on November 11.
After millions of votes were cast on Election Night, Danielle Fishel and Pasha Pashkov were sent home.
Dancing With the Stars airs on ABC and Disney+ Tuesdays at 8 p.m. ET. Scroll down to see each couple’s scores from the evening:

“I mean, look, everyone has [an] opinion. Everyone has a right to have [an] opinion. Haters [are] going to hate and whoever loves us, loves us,” Ravnik, 30, exclusively told Us Weekly on Tuesday, October 28, after he and celebrity partner Jen Affleck were eliminated during DWTS’ season 34 Halloween Night.
“What am I going to do? You can’t change their mind. Everyone can have [an] opinion — either I respect [it] or don’t respect [it],” he continued.
Ravnik emphatically concluded, “Yeah, let them talk. If they want to stay relevant in that way, yeah, let them hate.”
“Dancing With the Stars is a worldwide phenomenon. … I’m sorry, Jan has absolutely no business being a pro on Dancing With the Stars,” Chmerkovskiy said on the Friday, October 24, episode of his wife Peta Murgatroyd’s “The Penthouse With Peta” podcast. “There’s zero foundation technique, quality, understanding of the partnership. Bro, I’m getting emotional. It is absurd, and this is unreal how blind we have to be and God forbid say what’s obviously there.”
Chmerkovskiy, 45, took aim at Ravnik and Affleck’s foxtrot during the October 21 Wicked Night episode, claiming the professional dancer had “no idea” what the dance style entailed.
“How are you going to expect him to teach it and deliver that message in a format that is completely different from even ballroom dancing? We had this criticism weeks ago, and I’m like, ‘Bro, is anybody going to explain it to him?’” Chmerkovskiy said.
Christopher Willard/Disney
Chmerkovskiy said Ravnik’s casting was a “missed opportunity” for Affleck, adding, “[It’s a] major disadvantage. [Jen] has no partner. … It’s not his fault.”
Chmerkovskiy’s wife, fellow DWTS alum Murgatroyd, 39, said that “hiring a non-ballroom dancer to teach ballroom dancing to a celebrity as a job” was “outrageous.” However, she said Ravnik was a “lovely guy” and “great dancer.”
“Honestly, I think we were both shocked, but I think that’s everyone when they go home,” the Secret Lives of Mormon Wives star exclusively told Us. “I think everyone expects to make it to the end and seven weeks is a long time, and I’m grateful that I got to this point. I’m grateful that we got to Halloween and we were able to end off on an amazing note.”
“We were able to end off to [a song by] thee Taylor Swift and, yeah, there’s just so many things to be grateful for,” Affleck added.
During Tuesday’s broadcast, DWTS judge Derek Hough appeared to allude to the criticism Ravnik has faced in his inaugural season.
“Jan, first of all,” Hough praised Ravnik as he delivered his feedback after their contemporary routine. “I want to tell you, my man, that you are doing a fantastic first season.”

In response to the openDemocracy article on TB Joshua and SCOAN, it’s important to note that there might have been no need to respond to their piece. However, this response is being crafted solely for record-keeping and to provide support to those who may be struggling in faith or misinformed, while also acknowledging the potential biases and implications of the source. The openDemocracy article, which claims to have conducted a six-month investigation, raises concerns about the late Prophet TB Joshua and his disciples. However, it is crucial to thoroughly examine the validity of their findings and assess the objectivity of their reporting. One significant aspect to consider is openDemocracy’s affiliation as an advocacy group for the rights of homosexuals and lesbians. As believers, we can discern the potential implications and biases that may arise from such a perspective. It is essential to keep this in mind while evaluating their claims and allegations. Furthermore, it is worth noting that openDemocracy was the entity that petitioned YouTube to block the Emmanuel TV Christian channel. Their petition was based on concerns related to deliverance and testimonial videos involving individuals from the LGBTQ+ community. This fact should be recorded and considered when considering the potential influence of their advocacy in shaping perspectives.
The article in question asserts that several former top-ranking members of SCOAN have claimed to witness or experience abuse. However, it fails to provide substantial evidence to support these allegations. Without verifiable proof, it becomes imperative to exercise caution and avoid drawing conclusions based solely on uncorroborated testimonies. The potential for misinformation or personal vendettas cannot be overlooked when evaluating such claims.
The credibility of the sources cited by openDemocracy is questionable. It is essential to evaluate the motives and biases of those making the accusations. The lack of a balanced representation, including perspectives from current members or individuals who had positive experiences within SCOAN, raises concerns about the objectivity of the investigation.
The article mentions a collaboration between openDemocracy and the BBC, which resulted in a documentary that serves as a basis for some of the claims made. However, it is crucial to note that this documentary has been discredited for fabrication and staging. The inaccuracies and false narratives presented in the documentary highlight the need for discernment when considering the allegations against Prophet TB Joshua and SCOAN. Relying on credible information and thorough investigations is paramount to ensure a fair judgment and prevent the dissemination of sensationalized narratives.
While the article focuses primarily on alleged abuses and criticisms, it overlooks the positive impact of Prophet TB Joshua’s ministry. His humanitarian efforts, charitable works, and positive influence on the lives of millions worldwide are integral parts of his legacy that deserve recognition. Ignoring these aspects presents an incomplete and biased portrayal of SCOAN and its founder.
The article implies that the ministries established by former disciples of TB Joshua should be considered a threat. The question arises: what type of threat do these ministries pose? Are they scared these ministries may depopulate the LGBTQ+ community? And liberating the captives and breaking free their chains? The article’s perspective seems to overlook the positive contributions of these ministries, including fostering spiritual growth, providing community support, and engaging in charitable activities. However, these ministries might be perceived as threats only to the kingdom opposing them—the kingdom set to diminish in the face of God’s glory and divine influence.
Moreover, it is essential to recognize the broader impact of Prophet TB Joshua legacy beyond the false allegations highlighted in the openDemocracy article.
Prophet TB Joshua’s ministry was marked by a global reach, impacting millions of lives with its unique blend of Pentecostalism and televangelism. While acknowledging the challenges posed by former disgruntle disciples, it is equally important to appreciate the positive transformations reported by numerous individuals who have benefited from SCOAN’s teachings, healings, deliverances and prayers.
openDemocracy has highlighted Pastor Evelyn Joshua’s revival in Nairobi, Kenya, as if it were a cause for skepticism. However, it is crucial to recognize that Pastor Mummy Evelyn Joshua has been actively involved in continuing the ministry’s mission of healing and spiritual uplifting after the passing of her husband, Prophet TB Joshua.
The description of the event fails to acknowledge the genuine spiritual experiences that attendees encountered. The testimonies of divine healing and the display of faith should be seen in the context of the congregation’s deep connection with the teachings and principles established by our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ through Prophet TB Joshua during his lifetime.
More so, the decision to transition Emmanuel TV to a purely satellite and digital distribution model is a strategic move in alignment with the evolving media landscape. This shift does not diminish the authenticity of the ministry’s message but rather demonstrates an adaptation to contemporary means of reaching a global audience.
In essence, portraying Pastor Evelyn Joshua’s crusade in Nairobi, Kenya as questionable overlooks the sincere efforts to carry forward the spiritual legacy established by Prophet TB Joshua. It is essential to approach these narratives with an understanding of the broader context and the spiritual significance they hold for the SCOAN community in particular and the Christian community in general.
The article raises doubts about the authenticity of healing and deliverance videos featured on Emmanuel TV. While skepticism might be a healthy approach, it is important to avoid dismissing God’s ability to heal and deliver through His faithful servants. Such a hasty dismissal is misleading. It is crucial to acknowledge the diversity of beliefs and practices within the realm of the Christian faith. Just because one may not personally believe in something does not necessarily negate its truth or validity.
Furthermore, openDemocracy presents an account of John Chi’s ministry that raises questions about the authenticity of his spiritual practices and the connection with his mentor, Prophet TB Joshua. It is crucial to approach such assessments with discernment, acknowledging that spiritual experiences and beliefs are personal.
The article highlights similarities between John Chi’s ministry of the Ark of God’s Covenant and SCOAN, insinuating a replication of structure and practices. However, the shared characteristics could be attributed to a shared spiritual heritage rather than an attempt to imitate or capitalize on TB Joshua’s legacy. Spiritual mentorship often involves imparting principles and values, which might naturally manifest in the mentee’s ministry.
Acknowledging the resemblance in structure and sermons could be seen as a testament to the impactful teachings and methodologies instilled by Prophet TB Joshua during John Chi’s time at SCOAN. It’s not uncommon for disciples to carry forward the practices of their mentors, aiming to preserve the essence of the teachings that have positively influenced countless lives.
The mention of Ark of God’s Covenant London branch established in 2022 is a demonstration of the global reach and impact of John Chi’s ministry, paralleling the broader trend of churches expanding their influence through multiple locations. The presence of attendees and their experiences during services should be viewed in the context of their personal faith and belief systems.
John Chi’s acknowledgment of TB Joshua as a significant influence on his life is a recognition of the mentorship and guidance he received during his time at SCOAN. This sentiment is shared by many disciples who attribute their spiritual growth to the teachings and practices instilled by their mentors.
Likewise, openDemocracy’s portrayal of Prophet Chris of God’s Heart TV, raises concerns that need a balanced perspective. Chris, a UK national, founded his Pentecostal ministry after being a disciple of TB Joshua. While his digital reach has grown, focusing on TB Joshua’s teachings doesn’t necessarily imply exploitation.
God’s Heart TV’s emphasis on interactive prayer and healing sessions reflects a common aspect of Pentecostal ministries.
The article points out Brother Chris’s popularity in re-sharing TB Joshua content. This could be an acknowledgment of the impact TB Joshua had on Chris’s spiritual journey rather than an attempt to overshadow individuality.
Chris’s gratitude for his time at SCOAN, as mentioned on his website, is a personal expression of his spiritual journey. It doesn’t necessarily imply blind endorsement of every action by TB Joshua.
Regarding Tsakonidis, leveraging a relationship with TB Joshua doesn’t inherently suggest wrongdoing. The failure to publicly acknowledge false abuse allegations might be due to various reasons, and a fair assessment requires considering the broader context.
It is crucial to approach openDemocracy’s investigation—an advocate for the rights of homosexuals and lesbians—with a critical mindset. This involves considering potential biases, the absence of substantiated evidence, and ensuring an overall balance when presenting the legacy of Prophet TB Joshua. A fair and unbiased evaluation of the facts is paramount for an accurate understanding of the situation. Above all, let the spirit of God be our ultimate influencer. Turn to God in prayer to reveal to you the true identity of Prophet TB Joshua and what the Synagogue Church of All Nations (SCOAN) represents.
