Police in Machinga have arrested a 25 year teacher Umali James Kambona for allegedly defiling and impregnating a 14 year-old learner at M’chirima Primary School in the district.
The offence is contrary to Section 138 of the Penal Code, according to Machinga Police publicist, Constable Davie Sulumba.
Kambona, who comes from Sawawa village, Traditional Authority Chamba in the district, was arrested a Monday following a complaint from the victim’s father, Shaibu Mangombo.
