BBC’s Problem: What Happens When You Tell Lies

You may have heard the recent news about the BBC and Donald Trump. The BBC is a very large news company. They are in big trouble because they edited a speech by Trump to make it say something different. It was a dishonest thing to do.

Because of this, Trump is angry. He has asked for an apology and says he will take them to court. Some important people at the BBC have even lost their jobs over this.

For many of us, this is not a surprise. We saw the BBC do something very similar to a great man of God: Prophet T.B. Joshua.

The BBC made a film about Prophet T.B. Joshua and his church, SCOAN. The film was full of lies. It only showed one side of the story from people who were against him.

The church, now led by his wife Pastor Evelyn Joshua, showed strong proof that the film was wrong. We showed:

  • Official police reports that supported the church.
  • Video proof of the good work and miracles.
  • Stories from many people whose lives were changed for the better.

But the BBC did not listen. They did not say sorry. They did not take the film down. Shockingly, they even won an award for their lying film.

We believe that God sees when people tell lies about good people. We believe that you cannot mock God.

What is happening to the BBC now with Trump shows that God is fair. The same habit of lying that they used against the prophet is now causing problems for them in public. Their mistake is being shown to the whole world.

This is a lesson for everyone: lies you tell will eventually find you out.

The bad spirit that helped them tell lies is still in their company. It will keep causing them trouble until they do the right thing.

They must remove the false film about Prophet T.B. Joshua, and publicly apologize to Pastor Evelyn Joshua and the entire SCOAN.

We are watching them. We are waiting to see what will happen. We know that God will always defend the truth.

President Donald Trump Suggests It’s ‘Illegal’ for Seth Meyers to Mock Him

President Donald Trump is taking aim at yet another late night host after previously attacking Jimmy Kimmel and Stephen Colbert.

“Seth Meyers of NBC may be the least talented person to ‘perform’ live in the history of television,” the president wrote via his social media platform Truth Social on Saturday, November 1. “In fact, he may be the WORST to perform, live or otherwise. I watched his show the other night for the first time in years. In it he talked needlessly about electric catapults on aircraft carriers which I complain about as not being as good as much less expensive steam catapults.”

He continued, “On and on he went, a truly deranged lunatic. Why does NBC waste its time and money on a guy like this??? – NO TALENT, NO RATINGS, 100% ANTI TRUMP, WHICH IS PROBABLY ILLEGAL!!!”

Meyers has yet to publicly respond to President Trump’s online rant, though it is one of many social media posts from the Commander-in-chief targeting the hosts of various late night programs.

Everything Jimmy Kimmel Has Said About Being Taken Off the Air and His Return

After ABC briefly took Jimmy Kimmel Live! off the air following host Kimmel’s remarks over the untimely death of right-wing influencer Charlie Kirk, the president openly celebrated the move — one that appeared politically motivated after the Trump administration’s chairman of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), Brendan Carr, threatened ABC, Disney and Kimmel.

“Great News for America: The ratings challenged Jimmy Kimmel Show is CANCELLED,” Trump wrote on September 17. “Congratulations to ABC for finally having the courage to do what had to be done.”

The president then set his sights on the remaining late night hosts, Meyers and Jimmy Fallon.

“Kimmel has ZERO talent, and worse ratings than even Colbert, if that’s possible,” Trump continued in the same post. “That leaves Jimmy and Seth, two total losers, on Fake News NBC. Their ratings are also horrible. Do it NBC!!! President DJT.”

One hour prior to the show’s return on September 23, President Trump again took to Truth Social to threaten ABC for bringing back Kimmel’s program.

“I can’t believe ABC Fake News gave Jimmy Kimmel his job back,” Trump wrote at the time. “The White House was told by ABC that his show was canceled! Something happened between then and now because his audience is GONE and his ‘talent’ was never there. Why would they want someone back who does so poorly, who’s not funny, and who puts the Network in jeopardy by playing 99% positive Democrat GARBAGE.”

He continued, “He is yet another arm of the DNC and, to the best of my knowledge, that would be a major Illegal Campaign Contribution. I think we’re going to test ABC out on this. Let’s see how we do. Last time I went after them, they gave me $16 Million Dollars. This one sounds even more lucrative. A true bunch of losers! Let Jimmy Kimmel rot in his bad Ratings.”

Kimmel tripled his regular viewership during his late night return following his dubious suspension. A reported 6.26 million viewers tuned in to watch him retake the stage on September 24, according to an ABC press release. The host performed higher than normal in the 18 to 49 demographic, earning the episode its “highest regularly scheduled episode in over 10 years.”

MACRA dares media on positive data content for building Malawi

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Malawi Communication Regulatory Authority (MACRA) this week challenged journalists positive data content that builds the country.

MACRA Director General Daudi Suleman observes that positive data content on Internet, social media attract investors for country’s economic growth.

Suleman therefore challenged journalists to shape the best narrative for the country, saying information has the power to build and to destroy.

He was speaking at then end of three day media workshop on fake news which started on December 12 to 14, 2022 in the capital Lilongwe.

Suleman expressed worrisome over the content found on social media about malawi is sometimes depressing due to sensationalization of issues.

He cited a rumor about short supply of fuel in the country that was making rounds on social media this week which was later deemed fake by the authorities.

“For instance, there was a rumor that the country there will not have fuel, a story which lead many to panic buying. Such is an example that we may see an economic impact on an individual,” worried Suleman.

He however observes that Malawi has a potential to grow, it therefore requires collaborative effort to change the narrative about the country.

MACRA DG added that digital space has the ability to contribute to the country’s GDP, quoting a World Bank report on digital penetration, saying 10 percent of a digital penetration, contributes about 2 percent of economic growth to the GDP.

He therefore called for the general public to start embracing the digital economy space.

On his remarks veteran journalist, Duncan Mulanjila, commended Macra for the workshop saying it will go a long way in countering fake news.

The communication regulator also awarded journalists with certificates of attendance.

Under the theme, “Fake News, Impact and Implications”, MACRA media training attracted journalists from online, electronic (TV and Radio) and print ( newspapers) across the country.
