Uladi Mussa derides world respected Malawi Finance Minister Goodall Gondwe

Acting president for the Peoples Party (PP), Uladi Mussa a man who has been in Parliament since 1994 without anything to show for it is taken time to lambast the Peter Mutharika Government as having failed due to among other things incompetence by Finance Minister Goodall Gondwe and Agriculture Minister Allan Chiyembekeza.

Uladi Mussa said Malawi needs a change.

The long serving Member of Parliament for Salima and acting Fading Peoples party leader was speaking at Makhetha Township in Blantyre this past Sunday.

Uladi Mussa claimed that President Peter Mutharika and Goodall Gondwe have failed to make useful decisions to deal with huge problems affecting Malawians.

Uladi Mussa said the dwindling economy and the hunger and maize scarcity situations are evident to that the two Ministers have failed at their posts.

Mussa claimed “The government could have bought the maize last year. They knew that we have El Niño and we will not have food well in advance but look now, they are buying the maize this year. My foot! This indecisiveness is costing people’s lives,”

Mussa lamented a ‘vision less leadership’ claiming the Peter Mutharika regime has completely failed Malawians.

He argues that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) government has been making rough and unnecessary decisions ever since it took over power, branding it a leadership which has not been listening to advices.

However in his defence, Goodall Gondwe has challenged people like Mussa to come up with short term solutions to the problems the country is facing instead of just being critical of Government. Especially people like Uladi Mussa who have been in Parliament since 1994.

Malawi is facing economic problems as prices of goods and services continue to rise due to the fall of the Kwacha and drought caused by El Niño.

The DPP government however has countered by blaming the Fading Peoples Party regime for being responsible for the massive looting of funds at the capital hill, a scandal better known as Cashgate which happened under the leadership of former President Joyce Banda.
