44 passengers escape death from burnt down traveling bus in Ntcheu

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-About 44 passengers who boarded a Morfan Bus from Blantyre to Lilongwe on Monday, March 28, 2022 escaped unhurt after the vehicle’s engine allegedly caught fire at Njeleza in Ntcheu district.

Ntcheu District Police Station Spokesperson Rebecca Ndiwate said that passengers’ luggages have been damaged.

“Upon upon reaching Njeleza, the bus’s engine caught fire and efforts to put it out proved futile. However, all passengers managed to disembark from the vehicle unhurt,” she said.

According to Ndiwate The bus was being driven by Vincent Mavutula.
