The Statement in part reads, Following the appointment by His Excellency the President of Malawi Prof Arthur Peter Mutharika of a Commission of Inquiry on matters surrounding the procurement of maize by ADMARC from the Republic of Zambia, members of the Commission commenced their work on 10th January, 2017. This was after the swearing in ceremony that took place on Friday 6th January, 2017.

The Commission has been conducting inquiries and is making good progress.
