BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-One of the country’s leading private higher learning institutions, Exploits University has revoked a Bachelors Degree in Business Administration, it awarded to one of its former students, Bridget Thapwile Soko, after she posted a video of herself on Tiktok burning the degree for not finding a job with it.

In a letter Maravi Post has in possession, the University’s President Desmond Bikoko, describes Bridget’s act as just a matter of disgracing and tarnishing the image of the university.

“It is our interpretation that you did this to disgrace and tarnish the image of the university.

“The University is therefore, revoking the degree of business administration awarded to you.

“Our decision will also be made public through two major newspapers,” says Bikoko in a statement.

It is said that Bridget has stayed four years without securing a job with the aforementioned degree hence the reason for burning it.
