Malawi fuel crisis: 60 Zomba vehicles grounded over watery fuel

Watery fuel busted in Zomba

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-About 60 private owned vehicles in Zomba including for Zomba Malosa legislator Grace Mkwelepeta are grounded after fueling mixed with water at Naisi’ Meru filling station in the district

According to the eye witness (name withheld) the said 60 vehicles, some failed to move from the station while some discovered the problem on the way to their destinations.

Zomba Malosa legislature also admitted her car is being repaired by the filling station.

In an interview with Minister of Energy, Ibrahim Matola said the matter is under Malawi Energy Regulatory Authority (MERA) mandate.

Meanwhile fate of the 59 vehicles is not known.

This comes as Malawi fuel crisis is stabilizing.
