President Lazarus Chakwera is so desperate to see things happening in Malawi not for the nation but for his political ambition ahead of 2025 second presidential bid.
Chakwera and his Malawi Congress Party (MCP) are making shortcuts to Malawi fortunes against laid foundation of state’s resources tapping for developmental agenda.
Reverend Chakwera is all over the place to meet jim and jack desperately looking for resources when Malawi has the capacity to generate its own resources without debts and begging.
Chakwera is being embarrassed day in day out over his desperation for miracle monies for Malawi’s success.
No wonder, Member of Parliament for Mzimba North Yeremiah Chihana including many Malawians have faulted Chakwera’s Tonse Alliance government for falling into what he calls a scam by signing a US$6.8 billion Grant from Bridgin Foundation.
According to Chihana, by signing such a Grant at State House means that the security at Statehouse is sleeping, the Attorney General is sleeping; the minister of Justice and most especially minister of finance are sleeping.
Chihana has said government has failed to do due diligence on the deal hence falling into something they think is a good deal.
He has further faulted government for lacking seriousness when entering into money deals citing a US$170 million guarantee for fertilizer which government gave to a not known company ‘Auzano Capital Management.
Bridgin Foundation is an agent which does not have financial capacity to release US$6.8 billion for free to poor nations including Malawi.
Listen Reverend Chakwera
When you so desperate for quick success. You are bound to fall into a trap. They’re no shortcuts to permanent progress. This is so embarrassing.
Zambia President Hakainde Hichilema refused this nonsense of Bridgin Foundation.
The wife of Ugandan President Museveni was misled and later realized it is nothing but a scam.
In Nepal, they were exposed by the ministry of finance after due diligence was done. Their Prime minister refused to endorse the partnership.
In Nigeria, Bridging Foundation has never made any contribution to the economic and infrastructure development of the national, even though the Ceo is a Nigerian.
In Malawi on National Television, Chakwera accompanied by his minister Sosten Gwengwe signed an agreement with the bogus organisation, which is not even listed on the world wide recognized foundations charter.
On the side, Prof Tako will need advanced payment for processing the transfer of the funds, which is assumed to come in phases not as a whole. If successful, they will own the development for more than 40 years until their monies is/are recovered.
In short, this is not FREE MONEY OR A GRANT,it is an investment expecting to yield profits.
Only if it was real. Unfortunately it is simply a 419/FRAUD/Kuba kudzela pakamwa.
God must forgive us for Reverend Chakwera’s mess.
I wonder who is/are the person(s) who is/ are encouraging the President to commit himself in such pitiful attempts.
