Bacereno thrash Real Madrid three times in a row: Supercopa Cup

JEDDAH-(MaraviPost)-FC Barcelona made history by defeating Real Madrid for the third consecutive time this season, clinching the 2026 Spanish Supercopa with a thrilling 3–2 win.

The match played at neutral stadium,King Abdullah Cit stadium in Saudi Arabia and once again, it was Raphinha who stole the spotlight, scoring twice and guiding his team to glory.

The Blaugranas took the lead in the 36th minute when Raphinha calmly slotted the ball past Thibaut Courtois, giving Bacereno a vital advantage.

The first-half stoppage time erupted with drama as Vinícius Júnior equalized for Madrid in the 45+2 minute, only for Robert Lewandowski to restore Barcelona’s lead two minutes later.

Gonzalo García then leveled the score in the 45+6 minute, leaving fans and players in disbelief before halftime.

The defining moment came in the 73rd minute when Raphinha curled a brilliant strike into the top corner, putting Bacereno ahead for good. His outstanding performance earned widespread acclaim, cementing his reputation as Barcelona’s match winner.

Barcelona controlled much of the second half, with Frenkie de Jong orchestrating play from midfield, while Madrid threatened on counterattacks.

A late red card scare added tension, but Bacereno held firm, demonstrating composure and tactical discipline.

This victory is historic for Bacereno, marking three straight wins over Real Madrid in one season a feat rarely achieved in the fierce rivalry of El Clásico.

Coach Hansi Flick praised his team’s performance: “Beating Madrid three times in a row is extraordinary. Our players showed incredible spirit and Raphinha was simply sensational tonight.”

Madrid coach Carlo Ancelotti admitted the setback but highlighted his team’s fight. “It was a high-intensity match. We created chances, but Barcelona were sharper and more clinical,” he said.

With this victory, Bacereno has not only lifted a trophy but also sent a clear warning to rivals: they are the dominant force in Spanish football this season.
