Nigerian solder Lafiya Dole kills his four colleagues later shoot himself dead

BORNO STATE-(MaraviPost)-Nigerian solder attached to Operation Lafiya Dole has killed his four colleagues and injuring two others before killing himself in an Army Base in the Malam Fatori area of Borno State in the early hours of Wednesday 26, February, 2020 .

The Acting Director, Army Public Relations, Col Sagir Musa confirmed the incident in a statement.

As reported by Punch News, Musa said the corporal who was serving at the Theatre Command, Operation Lafiya Dole, Army Super Camp 15, located at Malam Fatori went berserk in the early hours of Wednesday and opened fire, killing four of his colleagues.

He added that the corporal also shot himself during the shocking incident which happened in an Army Base in the Malam Fatori area of Borno State in the early hours of Wednesday.

The two colleagues who were injured during the incident are currently in stable condition at Maiduguri hospital.

Authorities have ordered an investigation into the case to determine the circumstances that led to the unfortunate incident.

Meanwhile, efforts to contact the families of the deceased solders who paid the supreme price in the line of duty are ongoing.
