Mtambo, now on front politics

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The country’s Human Rights Defenders’ Coalition (HRDC) outgoing Chairperson, Timothy Mtambo on Wednesday announced leaving HDRC, a civil society organization to start a revolution that will fight for the rights of Malawians through nomination of political leadership.

Speaking at pressing briefing in Lilongwe, Mtambo said has made the decision after making thorough consultations with both local and international civil society leaders

Mtambo, who addressed the media alone; without other HRDC leaders, said HRDC has registered a number of success stories but his main agendum is to change the current political leadership of Democratic Progressive Party (DPP), so that Malawi Congress Party (MCP) and UTM Alliance can take over.

Mtambo, who has launched a movement known as Citizen For Transformation (CFT) has called upon all Malawians to join the same and fight a political change in Malawi.

He has declared that he will be the Commander-In-Chief of the movement.

Mambo, who quoted former US President, Abraham Lincoln; who once said: “You can delay change but you can’t stop it, has also said that it is time for every Malawians to demand change from the current political leadership or any other leadership in the future”.

While imploring the youths in the country to join hands, Mtambo has therefore endorsed the MCP-UTM Alliance as the only political leadership that will transform the country.
