Woman’s body recovered in Johannesburg with hands and feet tied together

Commuters in Johannesburg have recovered body of a woman in a big red bag on the Golden Highway with her hands and legs tied with rope from behind.

Police spokesperson Capt Kay Makhubele confirmed this in a statement.

According to Makhubele, the body was discovered next to the BP garage in Freedom Park and it is believed to be that of a woman in her 20s.

A report by Times Live revealed that the deceased victim was wearing a straight weave and blue denim jeans when her body was discovered.

South Africa has recently recorded a number women who have been killed by unknown people and dumped in various places including the killing of a 45-year-old Nompumelelo Tshaka who was dumped in an open field in Mthatha on 5 June.

The national police commissioner Gen Khehla John Sitole has condemned the killings in the country and Investigations have been launched into the recent brutal murder.
