Police arrest Man who went on Shooting Rampage that ended the life of his Ex-Girlfriend

Police have arrested a man identified as Clifford Choonde of Shalom area in Lusaka’s Kanyama Compound who gunned down his ex-girlfriend and wounded two in spree shooting.

Zambia Police spokesperson Esther Katongo disclosed this in a statement on Monday 15 June.

Report by Zambia Daily Mail revealed that the incident occurred on 14th June, 2020 around 20:00 hours in the area at the residence of the female victim.

The assailant who was apprehended after beaten by angry mob went on Shooting rampage killing his ex girlfriend, Barbara Sinonge aged, 23 and shot the alleged current intimate partner of the victim, Mwiinga Kalozye aged, 29, who sustained a gunshot wound in the chest.

He later shot one Andrew Phiri aged, 22, in the neck as he was trying to rescue the victims.

The suspect has been admitted to UTH under police guard and is expected to be charged with one count of murder and two counts of attempted murder.
