LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The American pop star Madonna landed in the country on Tuesday through Kamuzu International Airport (KIA) in the capital Lilongwe with plans to adopt two children.

Madonna, with presence of heavy security, was thereafter at High Court on Wednesday in the capital seeking court’s adoption consent before Justice Fiona Mwale.
The particulars of two children the pop star wants to adopt remain sketchy but is revealed their ages hover between four and five.
But Judiciary Spokesperson Mlenga Mvula has confirmed Madonna’s intention to adopt two children saying the court will decide on the application she made.
Mvula hinted that pop star has not yet adopted the said children while declining mentioning particulars of the kids.
Madonna first adopted David Banda in 2006 later took also Mercy James in 2009 at an orphanage in the boarder and central district of Mchinji.
Since then she has been spotted several times in the country touring her charity Raising Malawi whose operation is yet to make strides.
Pop Star’s Madonna arrival in the country comes barely a month after The Maravi Post published an article on Home of Hope orphanage where David was adopted seeking financial support to complete construction of a girls’ hostels.
The organization disclosed that it was failing to finalize the girl’s hostels, vocation college and teacher’s houses which started in 2004 due to financial problems.
The institution has therefore arranged a medal to be given to anyone who will assist it which is being sold on auction at the orphanage.
