Big Bullets and Mighty Wanderers in race for K1.5m in Sapota Mapeto promotion

Blantyre, October 1, 2015—Giants Big Bullets and Be Forward Mighty Wanderers are in a race to become the first clubs to lay their hands on the coveted K1.5 million pay out from TNM’s Sapota Mapeto promotion as they have set up an explosive encounter on Saturday.

To up the stakes for the Blantyre derby scheduled for Kamuzu Stadium, Malawi’s historic soccer theatre of dreams,
TNM is urging soccer fans to send more SMSs under Sapota Mapeto to help support their clubs find solid ground financially.

Public Relations & Sponsorship Manager Limbani Nsapato said the two sets of fans to take advantage of the derby and increase participation in Sapota Mapeto and help their team cash in on the K1.5 million one-off purse for the first club to hit 300,000 SMSs.

“This is the best opportunity for the two teams’ supporters to show that the can be able to support their respective clubs to raise funds for their operations through an SMS campaign dubbed and also hit the 300,000 SMS’s and get a once –off K1.5 m reward Sapota Mapeto,” said Nsapato.

Nsapato therefore called on all super league clubs to encourage their fans to endorse Sapota Mapeto promotion to support their respective teams at the same time wining different prizes in the promotion.

 

“It is a double win for football fans because while supporting your favorite team to generate revenue, the fans are also winning different prizes including cash that TNM is giving out every month in Sapota Mapeto promotion,” said Nsapato.

 

Currently, Big Bullets is toping on Sapota Mapeto promotion with 159,487 SMS’s seconded by its rivals Be Forward Wanders with 90,280 SMS’s and Red Lions is on bottom with 193 SMS’s hit.

 

To assist the team fans will be asked to send SMS a team code to 1515 and get chance to win monthly prizes of K200, 000 cash, Flames replica jerseys, handsets and airtime.

 

The first team to hit 300,000 SMSs will get K1.5 Million and two fans with highest SMSs will get 40 inch Samsung TVs.
