SALIMA-(MaraviPost)-President Chakwera pledges continued health care boost in Salima, through construction of more health facilities in the district if re-elected.
He was Speaking during a whistle stop at Thavite Trading Centre in the area of Senior Chief Mwanza in Salima on Wednesday.
The President said he was committed to improving health care in the district and that is why he invested in the construction of health facilities such as Mnema Maternity wing in the area of Senior Chief Makanjira as a landmark project for an area that lacked proper health care for a long time.
Statistics indicate that the health center is now serving 20,000 community members from Senior Chief Makanjira and Khombedza.
President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera also assured people of Salima that he will sustain and expand development projects in the district nd across the country if given another mandate in the September 16 General Election.
During the rally, aspiring Member of Parliament for Salima North, Maxwell Mnjemu, pledged to prioritise health infrastructure if elected, citing the urgent need for a hospital in the constituency.
