LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-President Lazarus Chakwera is expected to address the nation today tonight July 14, 2025 at 19:00 hours.
This is according to press statement issued by Presidential Press Secretary Anthony Kasunda.
However, Kasunda has not divulge more information on what Chakwera is expected to touch on in his address.
Chakwera address coincides with the official launch of 2025 Tripartite Elections’ campaign period.
The Malawi leader’s also comes when various sections of society have been pushing him to address issues of politically motivated violence.
The general public are pushing Chakwera to fire Homeland Security Minister Ezekiel Ching’oma, Inspector General of Police (IG) Merlyne Yolamu and Malawi Defence Force (MDF) General Valentino Phiri for siding with thugs during the recent peaceful demonstrations in Lilongwe.
