BLANTYRE (Maravipost)–The Malawi national football coach has said Flames’ loss to Mali will drive his charges to make up by getting a result against Ethiopia this Wednesday at Kamuzu stadium.
The Flames lost their opening match Group B 2015 Afcon qualifier 2-0 to Mali in Bamako last Sunday.
But Flames coach Young Chimodzi said the loss will not affect them and that his charges deserve a result over Ethiopia, who also suffered a 2-1 defeat to Algeria.
“Ethiopia is another good side, but we deserve a better result over them this Wednesday.
“We have put aside the loss and focus has shifted to Wednesday encounter,” said Chimodzi.
Both the Flames and Ethiopia jetted in the country Monday through Chileka Airport and they met in the arrival lounge as they checked out.
Meanwhile, Football Association of Malawi (Fam) announced that pre-sale of entry tickets is currently underway at Chiwembe Technical Center, Kamuzu stadium and Blantyre Youth Centre.
Fam has also urged Malawians to rally behind their team this Wednesday.
Following are the charges; VIP K10,000, Covered Stands K5000, MBC Stand K2500 and K1000 for Open Stands.
