BENI-(MaraviPost)-Eight civilians have been killed following the attacks by the Allied Democratic Forces (ADF) militia in Congo.
Army spokesman Colonel Mak Hazukai has confirmed the reports of an enemy who entered the Boikene quarter and killed eight civilians. over 70 civilians have been killed so far in Beni region since a military offensive against the ADF.
Angry residents have on Monday set ablaze the town hall in Congo’s volatile city of Beni in reaction to the death of eight people who have killed.
This has followed another incident of the death of 29 people who were killed on Sunday when a small plane crashed after takeoff, smashing into a densely-populated area of the city of Goma.
World Health Organization (WHO) said the ongoing unrests in the region meant an opportunity to end the outbreak of Ebola which has already killed around 2,200 people since August 2018 could be lost.
