LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-About 30 students have graduated from Early Childhood Development (ECD) program with certificate program with support from Ministry of Gender.
Gender Ministry’s Child Affairs Director, McKnight Kalanda said the program will build human development for children to become productive citizens.
Kalanda said the ECD helps children to behave better through the trained care givers than those that have not going through the program.
In her remarks, ECD Director, Khumbo Kachali Chirwa, said the six months training will help officers to improve children well-fare for better.
Chirwa said the program also helps persons with disability for special education.
He said the ministry is reaching out to 50 children out of 100 per year with ECD program.
