ACCRA-(MaraviPost)-Ghanaian music artist Safina Mohammed Adizatu popularly known as Safina Diamond has been arrested for stabbing boyfriend, only identified as Frank, to death.
National Daily reported that the unfortunate incident occurred after a heated argument, just few weeks after Frank’s arrival in the country from Canada.
Other reports indicated that Diamond allegedly stabbed her boyfriend in the neck and stomach multiple times leading to his death.
According to Diamond, the unfortunate incident happened when the two had an argument and her action was for self defense as deceased attempted to rape her.
She was taken to the Adenta Court Complex with her accomplice, who is also her other boyfriend and the two are expected to answer murder charges.
The case has been adjourned to August 12, 2022 whilst the accused persons will remain in police custody.
