………….BULLETS 4-0 WANDERERS as Bullets will face its Reserve side in finals…..

LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Goals from Gomezgani Chirwa, Anthony Mfune, Babatunde Adepoju and Hassan Kajoke at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe have sent Nyasa Big Bullets FC into the final of the 2022 MK90 million Prestigious FDH Bank Pachema Cup.

Wanderers FC started on a high note in the first minutes if the first half but the host Bullets FC reorganized quickly as they took over the dominance of the whole proceedings.

Bullets into FDH finals

Both teams had no shot on goal until 15th minute when Nomads striker Muhammad Sulumba shot from a long-range that went off Bullets goalie Richard Chimbamba’s goal.

The visitors were awarded a free kick by the center referee Godfrey Nkhakananga few meters from the penalty box but Kaliati’s effort went over the bar.

Big Bullets FC who were coming from back to back defeats against Tanzanian outfit Simba SC in CAF Champions league created a chance through defender Gomezgani Chirwa who passed the ball to Hassan Kajoke who was caught offside by referee, Nkhakananga.

Anthony Mfune, Gomezgani Chirwa, Patrick Mwaungulu, Chimwemwe Idana were a marvel to watch at Bingu National Stadium with Chirwa and Mfune operating well in the wing attack.

Wanderers defence however was very porous hence giving Bullets more room to penetrate and take some shots at Richard Chipuwa’s goal who was busy that Saturday afternoon.

After the first goal,Bullets ignited power as they sniffed the final,they pressed through the wings with dangerous crosses and played a very fast football with beautiful dribbles,which Wanderers failed to suit.

The Nomads had scoring chance through Sulumba at 28th minute,after Bullets goalie left his position,but his effort missed the upright with centimeters.

After playing to 3-3 draw in the TNM Superleague in another Blantyre Derby weeks ago,in which Wanderers came from 3-1 behind, Bullets seemed to have learnt some football lessons as they controlled well in all departments.While Wanderers thought they would again come from behind but it wasn’t to be hence it was the host who added other goals.

First half ended Bullets FC narrowly leading by a goal to nil after the recess ,Bullets was the first to create chance through Anthony Mfune who won the ball from Joseph Balakasi but Richard Chipuwa was equally ready and parried it away for a corner kick which the host failed to make a good use of.

The Peoples team continued pressuring Wanderers, and at 50th minute Kajoke converted a spot kick after he was brought down by Adeleke Kolawole.

Mwaungulu fed Mfune a beautiful ball who nearly scored with nice connection but was denied by Chipuwa.

After sensing danger, Wanderers FC coach Alex Ngwira made several changes at 61st minute, introducing former Blue Eagles FC midfielder Vitumbiko Kumwenda, veteran Striker Chiukepo Msowoya, Wisdom Mpinganjira and Vincent Nyangulu for Muhammad Sulumba, Joseph Balakasi, Felix Zulu and Misheck Botomani.

Soon after these substitutions, Bullets FC added another goal to make it 3-0,after wrong back pass to Chipuwa was dispossessed by Gomezgani Chirwa who dribbled the goalie and passed it to Mfune who easily connected it into the net.

As Bullets was enjoying the play, bad news came as captain John Kintu Lanjesi got injured at 73rd and taken off and was replaced by Nickson Nyasulu.At 75th minute Kajoke had woodwork before the first assistant raised the flag for offside.

The two technical panels made other changes at 76th minute, Wanderers FC new catch Robin Ngalande replaced Isaac Kaliat while Babatunde Adepoju replaced on fire Mfune who seemed to be tired towards the end at 81st minute.

Gomezgani Chirwa cleared danger from Nyangulu who received good ball from Wisdom Mpinganjira, for a corner kick which Bullets through Precious Sambani defended.

Bullets kept on launching dangerous attacks, at 88th Hassan Kajoke shot passed Miracle Gabeya and goalie Chipuwa but ended hitting the upright, which can be the peoples team’s fourth goal.

Substitute Babatunde Adepoju scored for Bullets after finishing Patrick Mwaungulu’s through ball in the penalty box. This goal made Wanderers FC things to fall a part.

After this goal,Nkhakananga blew the whistle to end the match.Anthony Mfune was later voted man of the match.

Bullets FC players and supporters danced GU-GU-GU from Eli Njuchi, Udzangomva wina Wafa as they sailed to the final and sniffing the hand some amount of MK25 million.

Let it be known to the world that,the 2022 Pachema MK90 million Prestigious FDH Bank cup final will be an in house battle between Bullets FC and their feeder team,who reached the final last week after defeating Extreme FC 2-1 at Kamuzu Stadium.

This year’s final will be played in Blantyre, on 8th October, 2022.
