LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-The ministry of gender, children , disability and social welfare says that they are sensitizing the stallholders that they are working with on issues to do with data collection on gender based violence.
According to the secretary of gender , children , disability and social welfare Erica Maganga said that this is to do with reliable data collection.
“We are supported by spotlight initiative which is funded by the European Union and we are engaging national statistic office to be collecting data on this initiative”, she said
She continued saying that the information they have is not harmonized information so they need to have ways to fight against gender based violence.
Finally they want to establish a tool that they will be giving them information based on gender based violence and they believe with this spotlight initiative will help them to end this gender based violence.
