Malawi court convicts opposition DPP Northern Region Governor Mzomera Ngwira for public theft

MZIMBA-(MaraviPost)-The Mzimba Magistrate’s Court on Monday, September 28, 2020 convicted the opposition Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) Regional Governor for the north and former Member of Parliament (MP) for Mzimba North, Mzomera Ngwira for abuse of office.

Ngwira was being prosecuted by the Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) for diverting funds from the Local Development Fund.

The court however will set another date for Ngwira’s sentencing..
