KILLERS REMAIN AT LARGE: FINGERS POINT AT GOVT ON NJAUNJU’S DEATH

I have been asked to comment on the so called investigation on the murder case of the former Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) officer Mr Njaunju.

Well I cannot comment on matters that are in court or under investigation officially. But as a concerned citizen I will utilize my freedom of expression and opinion to say this.

This is another case that shows the incompetence and Un professionalism of our security system. They arrested a person without charging him last year up to this year in connection to this case. They have not provided to the public any forensic evidence up to now. This I find to be sad and very disappointing.

I feel it’s a betrayal to Malawians and the family of the deceased. I don’t know whether the dignity of the deceased has been respected with this silence. In fact, justice has not been served at all.

I call upon parliament to seek a commission of inquiry on this case and other cases. How can we say that there is law and order; and access to justice while there are cases that no one seems to tell the nation the truth. I call upon all concerned citizens like me to put pressure on responsible offices to ensure that justice is served.
