Malawi Police arrest Nigerian drug dealers

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)—As the crackdown on crime in the country continues, police in Lilongwe have apprehended two Nigerian nationals Chriss Ndubuisi Fargusow Osigwelemu and Erick Mumb who were found in possession of nine sachets of suspicious drugs believed to be cocaine.

Minister of Homeland Security Richard Chimwendo Banda has confirmed the arrest.

According to the minister, police detectives have also arrested Pakistan nationals Muhammed Imran and Muhammed Manga, who were found in possession of 55 and 15 sachets of Kuba respectively.

The arrests have been made during a joint sweeping exercise by Lilongwe,Kanengo and Kawale Police Drug Detectives.

Recently, Chimwendo Banda said drug abuse in the major cities has worsened, stressing that government will end  the malpractice.
