Malawi ruling DPP is pledging to put the northern city of Mzuzu on the map

KARONGA May 25, 2016, (MaraviPost iReport): The ruling Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) has on Wednesday assured the people of the north Malawi that it will put their City of Mzuzu on the map by bringing different infrastructures of international standards.

The development was said by the country’s President Athur Peter Muthalika who is also the leader of the DPP during the official opening of the Reserve Bank of Malawi in the northern branch.

According to Muthalika, his government has another plan of constructing a new world class air port soon after identifying the place.

“As the DPP ruling government we shall develop the Mzuzu city by coming up with different infrastructures that are of international standards such as the air port among the others,” disclosed Muthalika.

He also said that his party will make sure that it has a lot of followers in the region coming 2019 general elections.

Muthalika further ask the Reserve Bank of Malawi in collaboration with the Malawi Revenue Authority (MRA) to deal with the issue of forex extrication

On the reason of opening a branch of the Reserve Bank in the north, Muthalika said “this is because of the increase of economic activities in the region.”

At the function, the National Bank Malawi awarded the prize as the best bank in the country especially in 2015 to 2016.
