MZUZU-(Maravi Post)-Marketing Machine Consultants Skill Center (MMCSC) will next month launch it’s first ever two days short course in event planning or training service aimed at equipping the youths in marketing to learn different kind of skills in running events.
During the course which will run from February 7 to 8, 2020 at Marketing Machine Consultants Skill Center, Sacranie Building opposite FES at Area 4 in Lilongwe.
The course will among other things focus on the introduction to event planning, types of events, event concept and theme, event management plan, marketing an event and starting up and running the event management business.
It is expected that the course will enhance the operation capacity to train 200 event planners before the year ends as to effectively enforce many career and business opportunities in the field.
For instance people should now start to embrace the role of an event planner as opposed to a committee as organizations get event planners instead of committees hence will be a provision of professional training.
Apart from interacting with staff of the MMCSC the course training will pay a courtesy call to all participants.
Participants will get certificate of participation and hands on training with relevant examples on the scenes.
Those who will go through the assessment will be certified event planners.
Furthermore, the course will also be held in Blantyre and Mzuzu.
Commenting on the training, MMCSC Executive Director Temwanani Luhanga said the skill center is greatly honored to host event planner skills in marketing.
Luhanga said: “Marketing Machine Consultant Skill Center is identified as one of the most outstanding marketing authorities to run a capacity building on youths who are marketers in training services, sales, customer service, digital marketing, and by finding jobs for people because we want to give people practical experience.
“We do not want to get literature from other countries but we want to add in something that is on the grand because it makes sense if the information is coming from someone who has ever organized an event in Malawi or workshop than just getting information online. So, all we want is to make things that are relevant to Malawian context,” Luhanga said.
The training course is going to be led by Co-Founder for Mzuzu Fashion Week Wezi Mzumara, Kanji Nyambo the founder of Castine Creations, Annie Chagomerana from Webtickects and Temwanani Luhanga Founder for Marketing Machine Company.
