LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Soccer commentator Dr. George Kaudza-Masina has applauded Sliver Strikers Football Club for embracing commercialization saying the move is in line with club licensing and the commercialization drive.

Masina reacted after the bankers announced that have abolished their executive committee as part of the club’s commercialization drive. The club has announced this upon identifying a full management team to replace executive committee.

He said, “with a full time secretariat headed by chief executive officer (CEO), there is a likelihood of the bankers improving in their performance and management as is the case with Nyasa Big Bullets Football Club.

“Silver Strikers FC therefore needs to engage a vibrant marketing team in order to be relevant with the modern way of running a club as a business. Otherwise they will be able to reach out to prospective co-sponsors and widen the sponsorship base.”

The newly appointed board of trustees’ chairperson Victor Madhlopa confirmed the development saying, they have hired a full time management team to be headed by a chief executive officer that will run the club as a company.

According to him, the club is expected to name Zambian coach indentified as Daniel Kambwe for the position of head coach with McDonald Mtetemera and McDonald Yobe as his assistants.

Kambwe who is a former Lusaka Dynamos and Power Dynamos tactician, is also the president of the Zambian Football Caches Association and he has also served as Zambia National Team coach.

Football Association of Malawi (FAM)’s Club licensing and compliance Manager Casper Jangale, commended the Lilongwe based club for the good move, describing it as a step in the right direction.

The bankers are following the Nyasa Big Bullets footsteps which is commercialised as a company and have a chief executive officer and chief administration officer at their secretariat.
