LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Former Minister of National Unity who is also Commander in Chief of Citizen for Transformation Movement (CFT) Timothy Mtambo cautions students in higher learning institution not being used by politicians with peanuts
Mtambo was speaking on Easter Saturday, April 8, 2023 when he graced Mr and Miss Lilongwe University of Agriculture and Natural Resources (LUANAR) pageant.
He observes that currently youths are being used in social media platform insulting people getting peanut on politicians bill.
He said 2020 revolution awakened the youth as they are able to voice out their views.
Mtambo added that universities are institutions that must spar change and students must be agent of change.
He added that Mtambo youths have been in slumber for a long time and everybody must be involved not just leaving politicians to change things.
“Youth must be involved in building the new Malawi, they must unite for development to embark on industrial and economic revolution,” said Mtambo.
He assured the nation of telling them the right direction amid social-economic ills under President Lazarus Chakwera’s Tonse Alliance adminstration.
This is the first time for Mtambo to unveil himself to the public after Chakwera fired him from cabinet.
