BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-After a 30-minute break, proceedings at the 6th All-Inclusive Stakeholders Conference organized by the Public Affairs Committee (PAC) have resumed at Mount Soche Hotel in Blantyre.

The conference, which brings together key stakeholders from across the political, religious, academic, and civil society spectrum, is currently focusing on discussions surrounding Malawi’s economic situation.

Delegates have reconvened for a critical session dedicated to examining the state of the country’s economy—one of the central issues likely to shape political and electoral debates ahead of the next general elections.

In this session, Reserve Bank of Malawi Governor Dr. MacDonald Mafuta Mwale is expected to deliver a detailed presentation addressing the nation’s economic outlook, trends, and challenges.

His presentation is anticipated to provide insights into the macroeconomic landscape and to inform discussions on how economic conditions may influence electoral processes and national stability.

The session on the economy forms part of a broader agenda at the two-day conference, themed around identifying and addressing triggers to electoral disputes through inclusive dialogue.

With delegates looking forward to concrete data and policy perspectives, the spotlight now turns to Malawi’s economic stewardship and how it intersects with democratic governance.
