LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Parliamentary Committee on Transport want government to end the contract with Movesa Fischer consultancy a South African based company through Malawi Traffic information Services (MALTIS) which is currently holding the regulation of Vehicle inspection station Association (VIS) in the country.

Chairperson for the Committee, Uchizi Mkandawire said on Monday in a meeting with VIS who appeared before the Committee.
Mkandawire said government need to bring back the power to the countries Citizen as MOVESA fischer Consulting through MALTIS is mandated for licensing vehicles registration and issuing number plates.
He said country Citizen are facing alot of problems in changing the number plates as they relay on a company which is outside.
He said it is high time government should recognize the existence of capable Malawian companies which are willing to do the work.
In an interview with Vehicle inspection Service (VIS)Owen Malijan said poor Malawians are suffering as South African based company only works two days a week.
Malijan said it is very sad for a country to be relaying on a consultant based company which is keeping on dubbing the country as it keeps on demanding on the services that they never rendered.
VIS was formed by private vehicle inspectors station who are issuing Vehicle COF on behalf of DRTSS and the association was formed in order to work together as a team of common purpose.
