“Political alliances are not there to help Malawians,” says MMD leader Peter Dominic Kuwani

The president for Mbakuwaku Movement for Development (MMD) Peter Dominic Kuwani has said his party did not join political alliances in the forthcoming July 2 fresh presidential elections a many parties have done as he believes the alliances are not there for the benefits of Malawians.

Kuwani disclosed this in his remarks after presenting the nomination papers to Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) on Wednesday, 6 May 2020 at Mount Soche hostel in Blantyre.

The MMD leader who arrived at the hotel on a motor bike to present his papers also disclosed that his party is in supportive of small scale business as it has been demonstrated through the use of motor bike to show his passion to promote small businesses in the country.

In his statement, Kuwani has also send his regards to all Moslems in the country during this month of Ramadan and he has petitioned all Malawians to exercise tolerance and peace during the election period despite their differences.

Dominic Kuwani together with his running mate, Archbald Kalawang’ombe has assured malawians that him and his partner are ready to serve Malawians and they are hoping for better elections despite being unsuccessful in the 2019 nullified elections
