Israeli forces fired shots at a food distribution site in Gaza after people, many of whom face the threat of starvation, had overrun the place. The incident happened on the first day that a new U.S.-based system distributed humanitarian aid. The U.S. government has updated its COVID-19 vaccine guidelines. The shot is no longer recommended for healthy children or healthy pregnant women. But independent health experts are voicing concerns. And thousands of children of ISIS fighters are stuck in Syrian detention camps.

BLANTYRE-(MaraviPost)-The Malawi High Court will on Thursday, January 13, 2022 make its ruling in a case where freelance journalist Mundango Nyirenda and the Center for Democracy and Economic Development Initiatives (CDEDI) want the court to stop government from implementing mandatory Covid-19 vaccination.
The judgement will be delivered by Justice Kenyata Nyirenda from 2 o’clock in the afternoon.
CDEDI and Nyirenda, want the court to stop the Ministry of Health from implementing the mandatory administration of the Covid-19 vaccine; stopping Parliament from demanding Covid-19 certificates from employees in order to access parliament premises.
They also want the court to stop all private and public institutions from demanding vaccination certificates from their employees and customers to have access into their premises.
In its application CDEDI zeroed in on the matter, following Minister of Health Khumbize Kandodo-Chiponda’s announcement that all public servants will be forced to take a jab come January, 2022, on one hand while parliament has been sending back those that failed to show proof of vaccination to enter its premises.
This has caused public outcry and unnecessary panic among members of the public, hence the decision to move the courts on the matter.
Apart from CDEDI, state funded Malawi Human Rights Commission also advised government to reconsider it’s decision saying it violates human rights.
Media Institute of Southern Africa, Malawi chapter also weighed in on the directive and called on government to consult before implementation of the said mandatory vaccination exercise.
Malawi is among African countries with low COVID-19 vaccine up take with only 7.8% of it’s population having a single dose and 3.7 percent fully vaccinated.
There has never been in a history where people were forced to receive that which is good for the common good of the society.
We have full examples in Malawi. The government has never forced anyone to receive coupon for agricultural inputs to save for the common good of society in terms of fighting against hunger.
And for some electoral body to think they can freeze a job contract or suspend its workers for not taking the vaccine is drama of the century.
Even the billions of money which was set for poor people to receive during this Covid-19 era, no one was forced for the common good. It’s insane to score unreasonable noise on vaccination and think that the jabbed elite are super chosen ones.
Amazing that the vaccinated lads think they are in their own supper class and immortal all of the sudden. So babyish and the stunts are baseless.
Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) Chairperson Chifundo Kachale and his team should realize that everyone has got a right to scrutinize and choose what enters their body.
No institution/employer whether of Law or whatever must dictate what employees should consume. What goes into my body is entirely my responsibility.
There is no pen in history that shows any nation, king, president forcing people to receive anything good (through any means) for the sake of common good.
If you think you cannot associate with those not jabbed then you should be the one working from home or quit working altogether.
Your choice to consume any vaccine should not be a super choice to be forced upon those not jabbed. Government is clear on this, “Vaccine is not mandatory” End of story.

Tanzania President Samia Suluhu on July 28, 2021 got her Covid-19 vaccine
DODOMA-(MaraviPost)-Tanzania President Samia Suluhu on July 28, 2021 got her Covid-19 vaccine to mark the roll out of covid-19 vaccination campaign in the country
This marks a turn of direction for Tanzania since her predecessor, late John Pombe Magufuli succumbed to Covid-19.
Speaking at the ceremony Mrs Suluhu said Tanzania is not an island therefore they can not continue living in denial of the life costing pandemic hence the vaccine rollout.
Last year Tanzania made headline when the former president of the eastern African nation late john Magufuli denied the threat of Covid-19 but later succumbed to the same.
In a different tone the incumbent president has placed measures in the country to contain the spread of the pandemic and the vaccination is to top it up.
The country recently received one million Johnson & Johnson vaccines through the Covax initiative.
The Advocacy for Alleged Witches (AfAW) urges the Nigerian government to sanction clerics who are spreading misinformation about the COVID-19 vaccine. This call has become necessary following declarations by pastors discouraging the public from taking the COVID-19 vaccine. Chris Okotie of the Household of God Church International Ministries has described the vaccine as “satanic”. For him, to take the vaccination to enter into an agreement with the devil. Linking the vaccination to eating genetically modified food, Okotie further noted that the vaccine would turn the vaccinated into vampires that suck blood:
“You do not understand the spiritual import, but now you know. So, when you eat that genetically modified food that you eat and take the vaccine, you have entered communion with Satan, with Lucifer. And that communion involves blood. Now, since the blood of Jesus is not what is talking about, or what he has to offer, he will require you to seek blood somewhere else. And the only place where you can find blood is in another human being. So, one of the things that the vaccine will make you do is to become a vampire who needs to drink blood for sustenance,”
Another pastor, Apostle Suleman, said this about the COVID-19 vaccine: “Me, I won’t take it, my wife won’t take it, my children will not take it. If they say my child must take it before he goes to school, I’ll withdraw the child from going to school”. The General Overseer of the Omega Fire Ministries International, who linked the vaccination to the Antichrist narrative, had in the past urged the government to allow him into the isolation areas so that he could heal COVID-19 patients.
In a related development, Pastor Chris Oyakhilome of the Love World Inc has declared that those who believed in God should not believe in the vaccine: “What happened to you? Where is the word of God in your mouth? Do you realize if you believe in the word of God the way you believe in this vaccine, there will be power in your mouth? He made us healers”.
Vaccination is central to any attempt to contain the spread of COVID-19. So, these self-acclaimed men of God who make pronouncements that demonize the vaccine and undermine efforts to combat the pandemic should be called to order. These faith-healing pastors should be opposed, resisted, and penalized. The government must safeguard public health; it should take urgent measures to combat misinformation about COVID-19 and other health problems. The government should sanction Okotie, Suleman, Oyakhilome and other charlatans who are using their positions to spread misconceptions and endanger public health.
Faith leaders asked to champion Covid-19 vaccine uptake
LILONGWE-(MaraviPost)-Prophetic Ministry Association of Malawi has emphasised the need for faith leaders to civil education their congregants that Covid-19 Vaccine is nothing to do with end of the world as perpetuated by some Christian churches.
The association’s Secretary General Prophet Dr Rex Kalolo reminded the nation that 666 notion stamp as sign of the time will come after rapture which has not happened.
Prophet Kalolo hinted that Covid-19 vaccine is not 666 arguing that he has chemically studied drug hence an appeal for its uptake.
He was speaking on Friday, March 5, 2020 during World Vision Malawi’s interface meeting with faith leaders a head of Covid-19 vaccine exercise.
Kololo therefore urged government to include faith leaders as among the first group to receive the vaccine.
“Covid-19 vaccine is nothing to do with the label “666” which will be stamped on people after rapture that end of the world is near, but that has not happened.
“Let’s sensitize fully our congregants the importance of Covid-19 vaccine. We, faith leaders should be the first group to take the vaccine. This will encourage our members to patronise”, urges Prophet Kalolo.
World Vision Malawi Acting National Director boss lady Catherine Omenda emphasised the need for faith leaders to take the reading role in civic educating their followers.
Omenda observes that faith leaders, medical workers and teachers are integral part of Covid-19 vaccine uptake.
“World Vision recently conducted a survey in 6 countries across 3 regions to understand the barriers to vaccine acceptance. In Bangladesh, for example, 38% of survey respondents reported not intending to take the vaccine due to lack of trust and/or little knowledge about it, but that they would consider it if it was suggested to them by a health practitioner or faith leader.
“This suggests that endorsement of the vaccine by faith leaders and community health workers is vital for community-level acceptance, promotion of accurate health information, and consequently, high vaccine uptake. World Vision’s recommendations for breaking through this initial vaccine hesitancy were recently affirmed?by IPSOS, a research grouping, at the World Economic Forum,” Omenda says.
He added, “Tragically, however, we live in a world of broken relationships; where injustice, inequality, corruption and disasters rob millions of their lives, their health and their futures. We believe that as we respond to covid-19, may the Church rise up to uncover the deeper, often hidden, social, cultural and spiritual issues that prevent children from enjoying life in all its fullness.
“Therefore, World Vision appeals to you leaders, to lead your people in making the right choices and initiating conversations that will bring meaningful change. We want to appeal to the Church to rally with the government to ensure that those who deserve the vaccine are able to get it, especially the most vulnerable in the hard to reach places”.
On Friday, Malawi receive first Covid-19 vaccine consignment expected to inject about 20% of the country’s population.
Nigerian Prophet TB Joshua has bared his mind for the first time on the COVID-19 vaccine, a subject which has been the source of much controversy and conspiracy, especially within Evangelical Christian circles.
“Concerning the ongoing situation in the world, I have received thousands of emails on the COVID-19 vaccine,” the cleric stated in a special message broadcast on his Christian channel on Emmanuel TV.

“No doubt, there are many conspiracy theories surrounding this vaccine. However, my belief is that our governments are only trying to look for a way out of this very challenging situation, although there may be bad faith in certain quarters,” he acknowledged.
“Many people have complained of some negative reactions but this is always the case with vaccines of this nature. I remember I used to have such reactions whenever I took chloroquine,” he continued, citing his personal experiences.
“That does not mean chloroquine is bad. It works positively for many. At this time, our governments need our support and our cooperation – because the world is in a dilemma,” he concluded in his customary parabolic fashion.
Earlier in the footage, Joshua had spoken about the ‘New Anointing Water’ and ‘New Anointing Sticker’ he had released at the beginning of 2021, stressing the importance of having godly intentions when using them.
“Jesus looks at the motive of our actions but men look at the action. I mean, Jesus looks at why we do what we do but men look at what we do,” he explained, adding “that is why we must not be in a haste to judge someone’s actions”.
“Once any selfish intention or motive is involved – that is, if money exchanges hands in whatever way – the anointing in the bottle will go away, leaving only ordinary water in the bottle,” he then sternly warned.
The cleric stressed that these ‘faith tools’ would be sent freely to people. “The Anointing Water is God’s gift to us. What it costs to get to you is our own contribution. The level of our sacrifice will determine the level of anointing we enjoy,” he clarified.
Clips showing this Anointing Water being shipped worldwide from Paris, France were subsequently shown, alongside the reaction of people who ‘fell under the anointing’ by merely touching its packaging, notably a blind South African lady who claimed she regained her sight.

A video further showed someone ministering Joshua’s Anointing Water to a critically ill coronavirus patient in an isolation ward who dramatically recovered and was released from the hospital shortly afterwards.

ABUJA-(MaraviPost)-Kogi State Governor, Yahaya Bello has discouraged people from receiving the COVID-19 vaccines, falsely claiming that the vaccines are being introduced hurriedly to kill people.
The federal government had announced that Nigerians will receive the coronavirus vaccine by January 2021, to curb the increasing number of coronavirus cases in the country.
However, in a video that is now going viral, Yahaya Bello questioned the authenticity of the vaccine and condemned its use.
Bello questioned why there is no cure for HIV and many other diseases troubling mankind yet a vaccine for coronavirus has been created after only 1 year.
He said: “Vaccines are being produced in less than one year of COVID-19. There is no vaccine yet for HIV, malaria, cancer, headache and for several other diseases that are killing us. They want to use the (COVID-19) vaccines to introduce the disease that will kill you and us. God forbid.
“We should draw our minds back to what happened in Kano during the Pfizer polio vaccines that crippled and killed our children. We have learned our lessons.
“If they say they are taking the vaccines in the public allow them take their vaccines. Don’t say I said you should not take it but if you want to take it, open your eyes before you take the vaccines.”
